Hachi Sushi and Omakase was truly the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by its elegant yet welcoming atmosphere. The minimalist design, warm lighting, and gentle background music created the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and impeccable hospitality, immediately making me feel valued as a guest. Every detail—from the polished wooden counters to the careful placement of each dish—reflected the restaurant’s dedication to excellence.
The food itself was nothing short of extraordinary. Each piece of sushi tasted impossibly fresh, with flavors that were delicate yet vibrant. The chef’s precision and artistry were evident in every bite, especially in the omakase experience, where each course built upon the last in both taste and presentation. The fish melted in my mouth, and the balance of textures and seasonings was flawless. Even simple items like miso soup or pickled vegetables carried a level of care and craftsmanship that elevated them far beyond ordinary dining.
What truly set Hachi Sushi and Omakase apart was the intimate connection between the chef and the diners. Watching the sushi master prepare each dish right before my eyes added an element of performance and artistry that made the meal even more memorable. The chef’s explanations of each fish’s origin and preparation deepened my appreciation for the food and the culture behind it. It was more than just eating—it was an education in flavor, tradition, and respect for ingredients.
Overall, Hachi Sushi and Omakase redefined what dining out could be for me. It wasn’t simply a restaurant—it was an experience that engaged all my senses. The combination of extraordinary food, masterful presentation, and heartfelt hospitality made it stand out far above any other place I’ve eaten. Leaving the restaurant, I felt both satisfied and inspired, knowing that I had just experienced the pinnacle of culinary artistry. As a self-proclaimed sushi snob who’s enjoyed sushi from around the world, I can confidently say Hachi Sushi is in a class of its own. Every visit is flawless — from the precision of the cuisine to the warmth of the service.
The sushi is consistently extraordinary: vibrant, balanced, and crafted with true artistry. Each bite reveals freshness and technique that rivals the finest sushi bars internationally. But what truly sets Hachi apart is that everything on the menu shines — not just the sushi. The chicken karaage is a standout — crisp, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and elevated even further when paired with their bright, refreshing oshinko (pickled daikon). It’s comfort and craftsmanship combined in the best possible way.
The staff never fail to impress, remembering the smallest details — from our favorite rolls to preferred pairings — and creating a dining experience that feels both refined and personal. The atmosphere balances sophistication and ease, making every visit feel special.

Read moreWe had the pleasure of visiting Hachi for the first time last week during their soft opening. Ferry, Darsono, and the chefs are from NYC! They ran a popular spot in Manhattan before locating to DFW, and definitely brought their A-game here.
We tried an assortment of cold & hot appetizers, hand rolls, nigiri, as well as the omakase set! Thick pieces of fish and very clean. They use real/freshly-grated wasabi too.
Some notable favorites: the wagyu tataki, sake hand roll (topped with tomato & charred onion butter), unagi hand roll (generous amount of eel), and the 5 piece omakase set.
The service is WONDERFUL! We got to try Ferry’s homemade mango banana ice cream 🍨, Koshi no Kanbai sake 🍶, and fresh tako wasabi from the chefs. Thank you for such a lovely experience!!
They’re working on further curating their menu and making adjustments before their grand opening from Sept 19-21 (will be doing a 25% discount on your...
