Oolong tea was too sweet at 30%, they wouldnât remake it. The cashier was kind enough to offer a 10% off if I wanted to order another one at the regular retail price. To be frank the oolong tea did not taste like oolong tea at all.
I order 20-30% at every milk tea place including tp tea in Richardson and never had an issue with the drink being too sweet.
At least the other drink I had ordered, the hot taro milk tea latte with oatmilk* was somewhat decent. (I wanted to order this in the cold version).
*They were not very accommodating of my dairy allergy. Was told I can only customize whatever options were available on the kiosk. As such, I could not order the cold taro milk tea with oat milk(not the default ingredient).
To reiterate, never had issues customizing drinks or with sugar levels at the other tp tea location or even other milk tea establishments. There is definitely an inconsistincy with the drink and service quality at this location that has yet to be addressed.
Edited on 9/17/2024 to address the response from the owner:
Oolong tea was and still is on the menu.
I did not confuse you with a different tea shop.
"All TP tea locations should be the same" - I agree, unfortunately mistakes can still occur and that is okay. No one...
Read morefirst time here and will be the last! Ordered through the kiosk and I put few notes for some of the drinks. one of the drink I asked for no topping because itâs for my little one (6 yrs old)..and there was toppings in it.. Whatâs the point of having the notes options available when they donât even follow the notes. we told the workers that this drink not suppose to have topping and instead of being apologetic she was rude and unprofessional. She just said that they didnât receive any notes⌠clearly on the receipt the fonts were not small and it was right on top of it.. I understand that mistakes happen but instead of offer to make a new drink at the moment she just said there were no notes and I donât recall an apology from her. I was being nice telling her if I can let my kid try it first with the toppings to see if heâs ok so they donât have to remake the drink..instead of respond back nicely she just said âI guessâ in a yea whatever tone. So we just took the drink and about to leave and saw that she went to the other workers to chit chat and I know she was talking...
Read moreTP tea is my favorite boba chain that I've tried so far! I'm so glad to see its presence grow.
You can't go wrong with the boba milk tea! TP tea absolutely nails the classic drink that started it all. The milk tea has just the perfect balance of sweetness while still maintaining a prominent tea flavor. The tapioca pearls are on the smaller side, but the texture is cooked perfectly. The quality is just as good as I remember from frequenting the Richardson location a lot!
I also tried the French Puff Oreo Milk Tea. To be honest, it's not my favorite drink that I've tried from TP Tea. The consistency is like a watery milkshake, and I also felt like the Oreo flavor was watered down. It's an interesting flavor combination but wasn't a fan of the execution. I wasn't too keen on the jelly either.
I do recommend the French brulee Strawberry Milk Tea, Boba milk tea, TieGuanYin Tea Latte, Red Bean Latte, and Winter Melon TieGuanYin Tea though. Those are all...
