Went here for the first time recently.
Store ordering is weirdly setup. You entered the store and the menu board is right there on the front. This is all good, however, to order you have to go on the side. There is no menu over there. So, if you want to review or want something else, you have to go back to the front again to look at the menu and then go back to the side to complete your order. Extremely inconvenient and not sure who came up with this idea. Store is also on the smaller side and not that big.
Their original bun is good. It is fluffy, soft, and tasty. You have to eat right there to enjoy it at its best. Cost about $5.00+tax which is reasonable.
Also bought their cheese and honey bun and it was expensive at $10.99+tax. Definitely a rip off because it is just the original bun with a drizzle of cream cheese and honey on top. Surely cream cheese and honey drizzle doesn't cost that much and really doesn't justify such a high price.
Their tea is good but it is sweet and pre mixed with sugar. This is really poor as not many people like to have their tea mixed with sugar already. They should have an option with no sugar.
They also advertise their app with rewards but when trying to redeem I was told they don't accept that at this moment because store is still in soft opening mode! This sounds ridiculous because it has been a while this store has already opened. If not yet, when are they officially...
Read moreLet me just say that nothing good can possibly come from residing within a 10-mile radius of this establishment. It is dangerous-ly addictive and has most certainly earned a spot in the rotation of my top 10 places in and around the Frisco Area.
Went here with my childhood BFF on a weeknight two hours prior to closing time and can honestly say that I'm hooked. She had been to this location twice previously and had frequented the original in Chicago and raved about it. She was right.
Love the enticing aroma and the chill/laidback vibe - it brings about a vibrant burst of energy to the space and the Buns and Chai are to die for. They really struck the right balance of flavor - not too sweet and not too bland. Most noteworthy were the undertones of cardamom and cinnamon of the Chai. The mouthfeel and ratio of the soft interior to the crispy exterior of the Bun were too good to pass up. I had driven by this place several times in the past few months, but never stopped by until a few weeks ago.
Shohaib greeted us with a smile and I told him it was my first visit. He walked me through the Menu and highlighted common items that are ordered by regular customers. He is a nice young man with a professional work ethic. We will...
Read moreSignature bun was delicious, and Pappuccino tasted great. Then why only 2 stars, you might ask? The reason is because I was 3rd in line right at their 3pm opening but didn’t receive my order until 3:35pm. 2 signature buns, 2 Pappuccinos…not an outrageously difficult order. I understand they are still in their soft opening stage, but they REALLY need to train their employees to be more competent at making Pappuccinos. Luckily, no one in front of me ordered a Pappuccino; otherwise, Lord knows how much longer I would’ve had to wait. The two parties in front of me received their orders, ate, and left while I was still waiting. The young lady in charge of making my 2 drinks took FOREVER to make the first one…then proceeded to leave it on the counter for several minutes before starting on the 2nd drink. Needless to say, the first drink was fairly melted by the time I finally received my entire order. Not a great first impression.
TLDR: Even during their non-peak hours, be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes if you order...
