
I would not give one star…this place used to be good ( Star location) walked in early this morning a little after 7 a.m. to get coffee for my husband who requested this place for his bday coffee.
There was one person in line ahead of me.. dining room was not busy almost empty actually.
I was not greeted there was one person in line waiting to place order. The only employee near the cash register to take our order was busy grabbing pastry and after pastry ( like 6/7 in individual bags) the customer in front of me finally gets to have his turn and is just there to pick up an order without coffee.. then it’s my turn… the young man walks towards register, phone rings and he takes the phone call and makes me wait… goes on and one with person on the phone, tells them it’s going to be $23 and it will take about 10 minutes to make the drinks.
So finally addresses me… I ask how long it will take if I order two hot coffee drinks and he tells me that he just took a four drink order over the phone and those drinks will be made before mine..
Really? I was right there in the coffee shop, patiently waiting my turn and he chose to continue to make me wait while he took another order over the phone right in front of me.. no respect for my time.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Their coffee is not worth their poor customer service and management. There are several amazing coffee shops in our area so you can skip this one like I eventually did this morning…
I walked out and will never give them my business! I headed to Summer Moon and had excellent customer service and delicious coffee.....
Read moreI have been a faithful customer every morning to order the almond granola breakfast and the mocha coffee at the star location for the past 6 months. The last 3 mornings I have had to contact this location because something was wrong with my breakfast. The first morning the granola was completely wrong. They put a totally different granola with cashews. I’m allergic to cashews. I spoke to Zen and he tried to argue with me until he finally found out there was a cook in training who messed the order up. The next morning my mocha was not a mocha but was just a decaf coffee. So I called again and had to reorder the mocha. This morning, morning 3, I was shorted the granola in my almond granola breakfast and had half amount of granola compared to what is always in it. Today I spoke with Zen again and he was so rude to me. He did not want to take responsibility that they were continuing to mess up my order. Zen told me they would not take anymore of my orders and hung up the phone on me. I tried calling back and they transferred their phones to voicemail. Zen should not be in charge of anything at this restaurant. I am a good customer and this is not the way you treat a customer especially when the restaurant continues making these kind of mistakes. Zen represented Ascension very poorly and the owner should be concerned to have someone like him working for their company. Read moreI’ve never felt so uncomfortable at a coffee shop in my life. I came in wanting a place to quietly work on my laptop while my car was in the shop. When I told the host this, he curtly told me all seating required a server, even the area outside. I say ok, I’ll just order something small.
Server comes maybe 10 min later and offered me water. I begin working, while trying to tune out the loud businessmen next to me. I finally get to a stopping point and order a bagel. Not even halfway through eating, the manager tells me I’ve been here for an hour already and if I want to continue working I need to move to the high tables to the side because servers need to make money.
I was taken aback because the host did not tell me about this working area which is what I specifically requested. Furthermore, there were other people on their laptops who, like me, had only ordered small plates yet they had not been interrupted by the manager and told to move. I felt targeted.
I finished my bagel and left. The host was rude and incompetent. The manager was insensitive and unprofessional. Coffee shops are supposed to be a relaxed atmosphere where people can read or work peacefully. I passed by the designated work area and it only had 4 chairs. Clearly this place is trying to be just another restaurant versus a place that welcomes everyone.
