This place made me sad, we wanted to like it so much and we bypassed other restaurants because of the reviews here. I’ll give them a disclaimer because they admittedly said they were short staffed But it was a quiet Sunday night and that’s not really our problem. Our waiter wasn’t really a good communicator and when asking for his opinion on some dishes, it felt like he’d say everything was good. Based on that one order was the chicken sandwich which we specifically asked how spicy the slaw was, which was responded with not much at all yet the sandwich was overwhelmed with spicy sauces. you couldn’t taste the chicken. The chicken itself was not even able to cover the bun and while the beer battered breading sounded so appealing on the menu it didn’t translate to the meal. Having two younger ones with us a kid’s menu is important, We almost didn’t order them anything figuring we’d feed them at home, but we thought we’d give them a chance and didn’t want to be discourteous. We ordered two kids chicken strips with mostly batter with very dry chicken inside, so hard to screw these up. I don’t know what happened. A waste of $14 each and as a business owner, I would think you would create some good tasting kids dishes and sell them at a very reasonable cost to catch the revenue from adult meals and drinks, spending a good amount of our budget onto borderline edible kids meals doesn’t seem like good business. The best out of everything was the appetizer chicken wings, they were really big and turned out tender and relatively tasty. I love to extend a lot of grace and as a business owner, I welcome criticism, but not only did the manager, or whoever was in charge not even bothered to come by and check on us, which at this Price point is expected, and the waiter never even bothered to ask about our meals although one could argue his understanding of American etiquette and language might have been limited, this could’ve been a much different review if we had an apology and heck let’s face it the chicken strips and fries couldn’t cost a dollar to the restaurant camping one or both of those or just offering a free dessert would’ve shown that the owners care about their patrons. You go from zero to hear very quickly without much effort. Again in the past, you didn’t risk much being a tourist town and likely not seeing the same patrons over and over again, but this is the age of the Internet so here you go. Not saying I wouldn’t give them a chance but…

The food wasn't bad, so I'm giving more than just a single star; however the service at this place is pitiful. My fiancee and I sat down on the back patio and ordered a bottle of wine from our waiter. It took him almost 30 minutes to finally bring the bottle, and when he did, he had forgotten a corkscrew. Another 10 minutes passed until we finally had glasses poured. We decided to order all of our food then, as we could see the writing on the wall with how slowly this restaurant operates.

Our waiter apologized for the wait, repeating that he was just slammed with tables that night (which did not appear to be true at a glance, and he continued to socialize with the other tables for longer than I would expect from an allegedly super busy waiter). He seemed like a nice dude himself, and I'm aware that it's difficult these days for restaurants to maintain a fully operational staff, but we multiple times saw two other employees stick their heads out onto the patio to look at us and the only two other tables dining outside. Not sure if they were busboys/hosts or what, but they could have helped out the waitstaff if they truly were slammed. I heard the table closest to us mention missing drinks to the waiter more than once too. Poor delegation of duties when customers are waiting and waiting.

When our meals finally arrived (one pizza to split, one pasta dish with a side salad), our waiter realized that he had forgotten my main dish (enchiladas). "Did you still want those enchiladas?" he asked. I probably should've just said forget about it, as we ended up waiting another 30 minutes for the missing enchiladas after we had finished our other dishes. We actually got up to leave at that point to just pay up front for everything, enchiladas or not. As we were walking through the dining room, we saw our waiter chatting with someone in the kitchen. He then noticed us and brought over a to-go box with my enchiladas... like dude, how long had those been sitting in the window waiting?? It was clear the restaurant was closing up for the night; you could have gotten us out of there sooner and everyone could be heading home (we arrived over an hour before close).

Again, nice waiter, but just not on his game at all. Wish he could have been given some help by the young guy and young woman who seemed to be wandering through the restaurant most of the night. The pesto chicken pasta was great, but I would not return to have it again. The enchiladas...

Four for lunch. Greeter at front door suggests the roof patio as “it has a terrific view”. Six flights of stairs later, after hiking all day, we get to the top and no place available for four to sit. Don’t you think there may be a way to see if you have space before you send people up stairs that far?!? Came back down six flights and sat at a table in the bar where no one served us. Moved ourselves to the back patio where a woman gave us menus and attitude. Made a comment to our server about going to the roof and not very happy about that which started a continuous litany of attitude and ongoing comments from our server through out the meal of just about everything. Even making comments about the carafe of water, only large enough to hold 3 glasses, was somehow our fault requiring comment. Enough already, but it just seemed he was that kind of abrasive personality. One burger not done as requested as specified and no concern or response from server-just walked away. Otherwise food was only good/average. Service sucked from start to finish with every contact made. Won’t be going here again. Update after Management response: WOW, after reading this one and other responses to reviews seems to be a real pattern on not taking responsibility. That said a few quick clarifications: it wasn’t “elevation” but bad knees-regardless, why send a group to the roof for lunch when there’s no seating available AND no staff up there to redirect? We did sit in the bar where we were ignored by staff. Proceeded to patio as no one willing to help. Waiter may have thought he was using humor but caustic AND sexist throughout meal-refused to give check to the women when specifically asked to do so-no argument as pre determined they were paying. Also 3 mustards but no S&P on the table and your plastic water glasses were cracked and chipped and only brought enough water for 3 not4 to the table. Burger was not done as requested so apparently not communicated accurately by the waiter. Sure happy the fine people of Frisco and visitors have many other much better alternatives for food than your establishment. Like Vinnys next door. Had incredible food AND service there! One star for you is one too many. BTW half of this party was local and will be happy to share...
