Great, new equipment that's adjusted correctly.!!! My wife and I rode Fuji comfort bikes and rode from two miles up from the drop off of Vail Pass and into Frisco. Then still had time to spare & rode around Frisco. Can't wait to do it again and more. When I saw the term "comfort" bike in the ad, I envisioned a sluggish, 45 lb. poor performer bike you'd be GLAD to get off of at the end of the ride. These Fuji bikes are equipped and light, about half the weight expected. Priced at $2000.00 and up, these were expensive, efficient pieces of machinery we were zipping down the mountain paths upon! I not only felt like we got more for our money, I hated I didn't install my Go Pro on it for the ride! The guys let you take them on out around town at no charge, if you're early and have time to spare. Otherwise, you can take the bike and install your camera, etc. and get ready for the wild ride ahead. All of the girls and guys were instructed in rules of the road on the way to the drop off, and I was grateful because there were newbies in our group that I knew were going to grab those brakes in the worst times! (Which is why we rode a few miles further up the road from the shuttle drop off point.) This was an unexpected highlight of our whole trip from RMNP and back down through Colorado Springs and area. You may want to allow most of the day to leisurely stop in shops at Copper Mountain, etc. I read the guy's review from 6 yrs ago about the bike's quality. I don't know about then, but now the bikes are sold off every couple of years to keep the fleet new and fresh. I didn't see a bike in there that I'd be...
Read moreThe worst experience we have had! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM- My husband and I rented bikes on June 1 and due to sheer negligence and lack of safety protocols demonstrated by Rebel Sports, one of the bikes provided to us had a loose axle, which Alex from their team acknowledged later but clearly failed to inspect or secure prior to handing it over. As a result, the rear tire detached mid-ride, causing my husband to be thrown violently from the bike, landing face-first on the pavement. This was not a minor incident. He suffered severe injuries to the face, chin, arms, back, and elbows. The bike was completely destroyed in the crash, along with his watch, sun glasses, and clothing. He required immediate medical attention at urgent care resulting in 5 stitches on his chin while additional medical bills are ongoing for x-rays to ensure he did not succumb to any fractures. It has been a month and after finally getting connected to insurance agents who were completely rude, unresponsive and downright cruel, they let us know that Rebel completely denied fault and would not to comp for damages. We have witnesses, proof, and names of Rebel employees who confirmed this was a fault on their end, but still radio silence. This was not an isolated case because I see a few more reviews from before claiming the same issue. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE if you...
Read moreUnbelievably rude and dismissive customer service. Purchased a pair of Endura bike gloves over Fourth of July weekend this past year. They ripped after about eight uses. I called the shop to ask them what can be done about this because the company that manufactures of gloves directed me to contact the retailer directly. The sales person on the phone told me that five weeks is too long and they couldn’t take them back. They said that this is normal for gloves to rip easily. The sales person gave me the (rather poorly constructed) analogy that she bought a bike tire and it popped after one use so I can expect this to be the same with these gloves. The manager was incredibly rude and then hung up on my husband. They told us that we needed to speak to the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me again that I needed to speak directly to the retailer and here we are...
