When I heard that Wabi House had just opened another location in Frisco, I stopped midway through my Costco grocery haul and dropped EVERY GYATTdamn thing I was holding (including my wife’s purse) and ran straight to the restaurant most expeditiously.
In DFW, Wabi House in Dallas has always been the standard in ramen (at least to me) and to have another one within a short drive is nothing short of exciting. So one may be asking “but does it taste the same as the Dallas location?” Yes and no.
The Wabi House “formula”, at its core, remains unchanged and I think what the Frisco location does well is sprinkle in some additional flair to what is already great. I mean… who the hell would think to add diced bacon as a garnish to a bowl of ramen?!!? Ok?!!!? Look… one may think that it’s a little strange but the fact is, my wife and I did not spare a single drop of broth as we licked the bowls dry.
I normally order tonkotsu ramen whenever I try out a new ramen spot because you can gauge how good their ramen is by the quality of their broth (and also because I’m basic AF) but for whatever reason, both my wife and I were craving dry ramen. I think I will get the tonkotsu when we come back for a more fair comparison between locations.
In terms of portion size, we felt it was perfect. The problem that we have at other ramen shops is that they would include too much egg noodles thus resulting in unfinished and wasted remains. If you’re still hungry, order some more damn noodles.
Also, as an honorable mention, the drink I got was damn good. Japanese whiskey baby!! A fine accompaniment to your bowl of ramen.
So if you’re unsure whether to take a gamble and give this place a try; flip a coin and then proceed inside because it will...

One of the standout features of Wabi House is their reasonable pricing. In a world where great food often comes at a steep cost, it’s refreshing to find a place that delivers both quality and affordability. The menu offers a fantastic variety without breaking the bank, allowing you to indulge in flavorful dishes without worrying about your budget.
Speaking of flavors, the ramen at Wabi House is nothing short of spectacular! I highly recommend trying their Spicy Tonkotsu—it’s packed with rich, hearty flavors and just the right amount of heat. Another must-try is the Bone Marrow Crab, which brings a unique and decadent twist to traditional ramen. For a delightful appetizer, the Karage is an absolute winner—crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.
What really impressed me was the speed of service. Despite being quite busy, the food arrived promptly, hot, and beautifully presented. You can tell that the team works efficiently to maintain quick service without compromising quality.
