Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Fruita

Traveling thru town and craving DQ. Should have read reviews first. They DO struggle! It was obvious that the lady who took our order was new, which was fine but when she thought the price looked high the manager checked the order, read it back and she approved it. However, the onion rings and cheese curds were "extra" sides, not in place of the basket fries when the order came. So we did pay for extra. The real problem, however, was when one of the chicken basket orders was delivered cold. It was obviously made earlier and sat there. Normally we would just accept it, but it was way past acceptable. They did replace it which was appreciated but it was obvious that they struggle because in the time when we were ordering the people before us were complaining about THEIR messed up order... first the mom, then 3 minutes later the dad. Yes, it took awhile just to place the order, long enough for both to come up several minutes apart. The final kicker was, when we asked grandma and grandpa how theirs was they said that they ordered one chocolate shake and one strawberry. They received 2 strawberry!!! These poor employees took/made three orders in a row WRONG and who knows how many more before and after. Obviously no training systems in place.. just a free for all! We decided to wait for the next DQ down the road to get our blizzard fix though. Headquarters needs to come do some proper...

It is now 3/25 and we went to Dairy Queen again. Actually have been there a few times now. MUCH different than a couple of years ago. I don't know what happened but the food is so much better!! Changed my stars to 5's. Thanks DQ!!

I can't believe this even has a 3.5 as overall score. It should be zero. I've been here more than a few times but today was the nail in the coffin. Drive thru for a chocolate shake and a cheeseburger sandwich (not a combo). We pulled around and there was a truck ahead of us. I thought he was just parked because he was emptying his garbage but no. He was waiting. And waiting. And waiting. No other cars around. They gave me my shake and told us to pull forward and they would bring the burger to our car hot and fresh. HA! 10 FKN minutes later or longer, they FINALLY bring out the truck guys meal and then bring my cheeseburger to me. My milkshake was aleady consumed. Note: Milkshake was good. Cheeseburger hot and fresh?????? omg. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY SUCK....

Says they open at 10, but i watched 2 cars pull up and leave because no one was there, doors were locked. I knocked on doors and windows, even called their number. No one was there. So i left, it was around 10:10

Almost every time ive gone in, they have an employee that is always hanging out in a white mustang with her boyfriend, she comes in pissed off every time. She even said in front of guests , “every time i step out people show up, im so sick of this”.

Also on numerous occasions ive come in, if its during highschool lunch, there will be highschool kids serving themselves, using bad language and people just get up and leave. This is by far the worst establishment ive ever been too. Their food is good, but absolutely horrible service. They leave doors locked because “i didnt feel like unlocking it today”. Ive had it with this place, Dairy queen is good, but this one...
