Before I even walked inside, I knew the wait time was going to be long. This place was PACKED. The line was almost to the door. I was excited to try it because of the reviews and how busy it was. I knew it was going to be good! They have a variety of flavors for match, tea, and ice cream. They also have milk teas and a matcha flight.
Parking is crazy considering how busy it is in the area on Sundays. There's a parking lot nearby that is $5 if I remember correctly. A lot of the spaces are tiny. I managed to find a spot but couldn't fit, so I had to park on the street instead.
The vibe is nice. It's a small, cozy spot with a nice, simple aesthetic. They play music, but it's low. The talking is louder than the music. I'd definitely go back to try a different flavor, but I'll be sure to go earlier in the day when it's not as busy. I went around 3pm, and all the tables were occupied. Some people were there working on their laptops.
I tried the blueberry lavender matcha, and my sister tried the strawberry matcha (both with oat milk). Both drinks were good. The fruit flavors stand out enough, and the matcha is still strong. It's a nice blend of the two flavors. I tasted more blueberry than lavender in my drink. I also expected the drink to be really sweet because of the fruit flavors, but it was mild, which is perfect for me because I don't like anything too sweet.
Overall, this spot is a 10/10. I didn't stay long because the noise was too much for me, and it was hot. If these things also bother you, consider choosing the appropriate time of day to...
Read moreCame by the other day to try it again since their soft opening when they were still building out sections of the store. The line was all the way to the door, but they have a digital kiosk and a cashier helping take orders. Unfortunately it was super crowded when we went. All tables were full, lots of people were waiting around anywhere even waiting in between other tables with customers.
We ordered a house black milk tea with honey boba, a strawberry matcha, and a cookies & cream mochi donut. We waited a good amount of time since there was just so many people at the store, but when we got our drinks we didn't get our food so I asked about it. The barista with circular glasses scoffed and rolled her eyes like we were bothering her for asking about something we paid for. Maybe it's the rush of customers or the sheer amount of people waiting everywhere. We got the mochi donut quickly after that.
The house black milk tea with honey boba tasted like tap water with boba. There was no tea flavor or even any sweetness besides when chewing on the boba. The strawberry matcha tasted like strawberry without any matcha. It felt like the matcha was just there for color. Unfortunately, the mochi donut was no better and did not taste good at all.
If you're not sure what to order, then order anything but the three things we ordered and maybe your luck will fare better than ours. Perhaps it was an off day for them, but it's not worth it...
