Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Gadsden

Very very good. BUT the manager came to assist I assume a new employee Fredrick was his name. I ordered 3 taco bowls with ground beef never been to moes so I assumed he was preparing my food as he should. When the manager came to assist him he noticed my bowls apparently had extra meat. I hear him telling Fredrick that the proper serving of ground beef. I jump in and say "oh that's okay, that's okay". The manager insists that he won't charge me extra since i wasn't aware i was evening getting a " double portion". I'm not aware of the servings like I said before it's my first time at Moes. However when I get to the end of the line I notice 4.47 for extra meat. Now it's not a problem it's just a little unsettling that the manager says one thing to my face and then I'm overcharged the next. No bother, the food was great. Store was clean but I don't think I will be back just because I feel if u tell a customer something u should follow through with it. My husband and I were here for lunch Sunday. We usually go on a weekday around 2 or 3 in the afternoon so it was a lot more busy and more crowded than we had experienced previously. But the staff kept things moving along well so we did not have a long wait. I always choose the build your own bowl. I do not get meat but there are plenty of options. I got seasoned rice, black beans, grilled onions and peppers and grilled corn. I added pico, lettuce, extra onions and guacamole. You are also given chips and salsa. This Moes has several sauces for you to get as much of as you want. The Green Goddess sauce is delicious! This visit, the chips left a little to be desired. They were very oily, didn't seem fresh. But the food itself was delicious! Of course, I wasn't able to finish it. I never am! My husband got a burrito and he loved it! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this Moe's for all the above...

Years ago I woulda gone 5 stars, but after my trip to Moe's last week.. I don't think I'll be going back for a very long time.

They don't offer all the same toppings they use to, prices have drastically gone up apparently, the ground beef tasted more like chili meat than taco meat, the drink machine even got a downgrade? The chips were somehow chewy and overly brittle at the same time. It's just overrated at this point.

All for over $60 for two meals? I could a gone to a better place with that money. It felt like a waste and one of the first times I was upset enough to add a rating. Woulda skipped the trip if I'd known the costs beforehand. But no one wants to list all their prices honestly or else who would bother?

All around a few years ago Moe's was somewhere me and my husband looked forward to going to go....
