EDIT: KFT CHANGED THEIR POLICY BECAUSE OF THIS REVIEW. FIVE STARS FOR LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMERS.
This would normally be a 5-star review, because you make consistently great bubble tea. But there is one issue that really weighs on one's conscience. Every drink is given in a plastic bag that nobody really uses. We know this, because the trash can outside is always filled to the brim solely with the Kung Fu Tea branded plastic bag. The bag isn't even that great at holding drinks. Some of the other locations we go to just give your drink in your hand, or leave it on the counter, and you can take a bag if you need it. Would you consider amending this one small thing about your policy just by placing a box with these plastic bags on the counter where we take out drinks. You can find another way to group drinks together, like in those biodegradeable cup trays that Starbucks gives, or just by putting them together in a group. We enjoy your tea but stop ourselves from going often because of the thought of sea turtles choking on those trashcan-fulls of unnecessary plastic bags. If you change your policy around this, so that people can just take the bags only when they need them, then we would be able to come much more often, enjoying our bubble tea guilt-free. Please update me when you have made a change, and I'll be able to slap on that 5-star review again. I'll check back here for changes.
Thank you for your response! I will change it...
Read moreThis place used to be really great but I noticed that the service has started really going down hill lately. There have been a number of times where my order was repeatedly wrong where the toppings requested would be left off. The first time it happened, my order was missing bubbles so I went back and one of the team members gave me a cup of bubbles and told me to add them myself. Another time after having a day where I just wanted bubble tea as a pick me up, the bubbles were left out again along with the signature topping that came with the drink. I went back and they haphazardly threw the bubbles in, still forgot the additional topping and blending away the marshmallow finish from my drink. After that, I was over it so I threw the tea in the trash, walked down to fine wine and picked up a bottle of chateau bordeaux that I knew...
Read moreOpening day ordered house blend milk tea (30% sugar) and strawberry cream milk tea (50% sugar). Both were half bubble half mango jelly.
Decor is really good. Friendly, open, colorful. Really eye catching on the streets, really entertaining in the store. Appreciate the dragon icon around the icon in the back of the store. The street fighter II arcade machine in the corner was also a nice touch.
The teas were really good. Bubbles were soft on the outside and firm on the inside. The house blend was your typical house blend milk tea. The strawberry tea is green tea base (I hope) with strawberry chunks. The milk cap was the thing that took the cake though; it was light, frothy, smooth, and the little bit of salt in there made you appreciate the milk...
