Stopped in to check out this bright and colorful store located in the Rio Washingtonian Center. Lauren was extremely helpful as we decided to purchase a box of six macarons. Great customer service.

Our selection included Pumpkin, Tiramisu, Raspberry, Lemon, Mint and Chocolate. By far my favorites were the Pumpkin and Tiramisu. There are a lot more flavors to choose from but this was today’s selection! If the macaron is not your favorite, then there is a large selection of gelatos, chocolates, cakes and pastries as well. Hot and iced coffee is also available.

Having watched numerous Gordon Ramsay shows, I know how difficult baking macarons can be, especially in so many flavors. This would explain the slightly higher price point ($3/each), but completely understandable given they are fresh, unique flavors and of higher quality.

Their Chocolate Croissant - was amazingly flakey and just the right amount of chocolate, and their tea cakes are a twist from traditional tea cakes - they were quite good. Warning - while trapped in one of those new residential extended dorm life ghettos at the edges of 21st Century DC City bedroom communities - it’s worth the effort of parking and endless cars labeled - “Be Patient With Me - I’m a New Driver” bumper stickers popular with the diaspora communities of or globe.
