Oooohhhh Tous les Jours!!! Merci Beaucoup!
I had read about Tous les Jours Bakery without realizing just how massive this chain is across the U.S. It’s been on my list to try for a while, and now that I have… whew, I have mixed emotions!
Why? Because it was SOOOO good and so dangerously beautiful that my self-control didn’t stand a chance! EVERYTHING looks so perfect it almost seems fake. If you’re someone who eats with your eyes first, brace yourself—Tous les Jours is pure sensory overload!
What to Expect:
This French-Asian-inspired artisanal bakery offers an insane selection of breads, pastries, and cakes that will have you filling your tray faster than you planned.
Some standouts: • Kimchi Croquettes – Yes, you read that right! A savory, spicy twist on a classic. • Croissants in Every Form – Sweet, savory, flattened, chocolate-draped, fruit & cream-filled—you name it, they have it! • Elote (Mexican Street Corn) Pastry – A unique, slightly sweet, slightly savory bite. • Chocolate Pretzel Croissant – A perfect balance of buttery, flaky pastry and rich chocolate with a salty crunch. • Mango Cloud Cakes – Light, airy, and full of tropical flavor.
And that’s just a tiny sample of what they offer!
How It Works:
1️⃣ Grab a tray, line it with wax paper, and pick up tongs. 2️⃣ Select your items from the stunning display cases. 3️⃣ Pay at the register.
They also have coffee, tea, and sandwiches, plus a dedicated cake display that looks straight out of a Parisian patisserie.
Atmosphere & Experience:
✔️ Spacious seating – Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or need a cozy spot to work, this location has plenty of room. ✔️ Friendly staff – Super helpful and welcoming! ✔️ Instagrammable EVERYTHING – From the pastries to the cakes, you’ll want to snap photos before you take that first bite!
Final Thoughts:
By the way, “Tous les Jours” means “Every Day” in French. And honestly? If I could eat here every day, I would. There are so many other items I NEED to try—I’m already planning my next visit!
I ended up trying their mushroom and caramelized onion Danish (fantastic!), flattened croissant, mango cream-filled croissant, and a croissant draped with a chocolate cookie. I also ordered a slice of the mango cloud cake, which they forgot to put in my bag—a little bummer, but maybe a blessing in disguise from the calorie gods!

Read moreAfter visiting this location, I really appreciate the staff at the Germantown location that actually know customer service and how to make coffee drinks. I visited the real location on a Monday morning, I first asked for a shakerato coffee, which I’ve gotten many times at the other location no matter what day it was, but when I asked for it at this location, I got laughed at and told we can’t do those today by a senior woman working there. Which is fine, so I then asked for an iced coffee instead they rang me up two iced coffees and gave me a pager to wait for the coffees. I then waited about 15 minutes before someone called me over and said that they actually don’t do iced coffees there, which is weird because it looked like they had a button already made in the system for them, but asked if I instead wanted an iced Americano I said sure because I didn’t know what else to do, they then took another 10 minutes to make one of my coffees and were surprised when I said I ordered two and showed them my receipt that I had paid for two. I then get two coffees that barely had any ice in them, barely had any flavor, took in total 25 mins to make, and no apology for forgetting the second coffee or for ringing me up iced coffees when they apparently don’t do those there. The pastries are good at this place but if you were looking to get coffee or any kind of customer service, don’t expect much. However, I’ve never had a problem with any of this at the Germantown location so props...

Tous Les Jours in Gaithersburg is an absolute gem! My partner and I visited on a busy Saturday morning, and despite the crowd, navigating the store was smooth and easy. The staff were attentive and kind. Staff also worked quickly to ensure all selections were fully stocked. Not to mention, the selection was so diverse that I wanted to try everything!
For beverages, my husband ordered a smoothie and I ordered a matcha latte, both of which were excellent. For food, we enjoyed the croque monsieur and the sausage bread. Both were delicious and large in portion size, which I appreciated for sharing I also ordered a danish to take home for breakfast, but it looked so good that I couldn’t resist eating it that same day!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy vibe. Despite the busyness, there was plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot for families and individuals. I also appreciate their long hours, which provide the flexibility to visit early or stay late.
I can’t wait to return and enjoy more of their delicious offerings. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by as there’s truly something...
