Where do I start?! Location is horrible, you’re surrounded by a closed down shopping mall in a broken parking lot. Our server seemed annoyed we showed up after the busy times yet 2 hours prior to closing… weird. We were given dirty, torn menus. Right away asked what we wanted… before even being able to look at the nasty menu… we asked if their was a drink menu and our server, annoyed, grabbed my boyfriends menu flipped it over and said they’re right there… wow… I’m trying to have a nice night out with my boyfriend and very flamboyant friend. My friend made a special request and I will say that bartender delivered very well. He even complimented on her bartending abilities. Our server brought my friend out his meal, and tried giving my boyfriend and I complete wrong meals. The moment we pointed it out she got very defensive. To the point we all got uncomfortable. She started complaining she keyed it on right so clearly we didn’t know what we ordered and then realized she made a mistake… best part is when I watched the food she tried serving to us go back into the kitchen and a few minutes later go to other customers… (did I mention I went to culinary school and am a former professional baker and server?!) when my boyfriend and my meals come out… his was ok. To say the least. I had a pasta steak and shrimp thing on the featured menu. I couldn’t even cut the steak with the knife provided. It looked like a shriveled rat but requested medium rare. We all laughed at how horrible the meat was. The pasta and sauce was cold. Like oddly cold. Shrimp was good but that’s it.
Part of the experience was watching a guest accidentally break a glass item and the staff hand him a broom… when the guest did a horrible job, the staff let broken glass lay everywhere. So… how clean is the actual kitchen then?! Absolutely disgusting behavior. Never go back. Never again.
This was a very last minute thing since we all worked today and the original plans fell through....
Read moreI ordered a Caesar salad that literally set my tongue on fire. How you make a salad burn lips is beyond me. I looked past it (and didn't finish it). Then I ordered steak, chicken and the kids Mac and cheese (I asked if the Mac and cheese was peppered bc my son doesn't eat spicy and he suggested the kids). The steak was so hot I had to cut off the top and bottom for it to even be edible. The chicken was the same and not even remotely worth the price. I had to peel the layer of spice off for my son to eat any of the entire meal. The salmon ordered was also incredibly spicy and not completely cooked inside. Good thing we don't mind sushi. My server passed us several times as we all had lips on fire. When I mentioned to him (and visibly) we couldn't tolerate the excessive what seemed like pepper the response was "we are known for our BOLD flavor". Not accommodating at all. I read another review mentioning a spicy steak, the craziest thing I'd ever experienced.
If I had known an entire pepper shaker would be on my food I would've either ordered differently or are elsewhere. Literally the worst meal all due to excessive spice. I truly think it would have tasted okay but I had to cut half of the meal out trying to dodge the spice.
As I was leaving I took the excessive mutilated food to feed to my chickens and was discussing at my table how at least chickens can't taste spice in which the server replies "the chickens can handle it" 🙄 Well, I can't. And I won't be back.
Truly surprised the location has lasted as long as it has being in the worst location. But add to it the excessive "BOLD" flavor... Yeah $85 for a mouth on fire and far less than...
Read moreI cannot express enough how wonderful our experience was last night. To start, they had multiple large parties coming in at once. Ours, was a party of 16. The manager came out with a small sample of steak and potatoes as a little appetizer to hold us over for the wait. It was phenomenal. Every one on my ticket had a steak-so it was a great selling point. The hostess went and grabbed a chair for our grandmother due to all the waiting area being full so she did not have to stand up. I noticed when things calmed down, he was keeping busy by cleaning the finger prints off the windows -instead of playing on his phone or gossiping with his coworkers, like I am used to seeing, this young man kept hisself busy and showed pride in his work. The waitress, Cindy, never missed a beat. She kept drinks full, appetizers and bread available and every single order was correct and properly cooked. The runners had smiles on their faces and happily helped with anything we needed. Cindy was cheerful and played around with my husbands antics. She was available but not over bearing. When it was time to go, she had our checks promptly ready and accurate and returned them in a timely manner. The manager was available and seen. Walking around and engaging with patrons. This experience has been by far the best I have had since pre-COVID. I was beginning to lose hope that we would ever encounter exceptional service again, but OUTBACK in Commerce can take my money anytime! Thank you to Cindy, the hostess, the managers, the runners and the kitchen staff. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. Oh! And the brussel sprouts are always on point!!! My...
