I am confused by the previous comment left by Holli. Why do you continue to buy the cookies if they are as horrible as you proclaim? Isn’t that the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? I think this person was having a bad day and wanted a place to express her frustration. If you have been there on multiple occasions it can’t be that bad. I have been working in this building for 2 years and Monica has made the most delicious tasting cookies and cakes of anyone before her who has worked there. I will personally be asking for a cake made for my birthday. One of my colleagues brought a lemon cake from her because they are so good, and shared it with the office. It was gone in less than a day. I have to be mindful about staying away from her treats because they are so good ! Monica really has a talent for baking. Even after 3 or 4 days the cakes and cookies still taste so fresh. She puts her own little spin on it. She also knows how to season the chicken really well for the salads. The menu and the cooking has improved ever since Monica and the new crew have been there. on days where I don’t meal prep my I will go down there and grab something. Everyone is so polite and catering. With a small staff they manage to take care of the entire building and do it really well. I’ve worked in restaurants before, it’s not easy. Give Lou’s Deli some credit. They work hard to keep us full and satisfied and they always have a positive attitude even though I’m sure sometimes they might not feel like putting on a smile. Working in the service industry is a thankless job. And instead of leaving negative comments why not speak to them directly on how they may be able to improve. It’s not some 5 star restaurant in wthe Hamptons, it’s a cafeteria in a small office building. Anyways, I always look forward to Monica’s cookies and Cakes. The macadamia , chocolate chip , and peanut butter cookies are the BOMB, and all the cakes are so so good. i’ve tried them all. The lemon cake just melts in your mouth. They had a new pumpkin cake the other day and I don’t even think I chewed any of it. I scarfed it down like a goblin. I’m picky about my food so this is no exaggeration. Thanks Monica and crew for all you guys do. I’m getting me a...
Read moreService is great and cafe setting nice, but the only people who likely eat here must either be working in this building or one across the street, because it's a long walk from the parking garage. Although the sandwiches I have tried are "decent", I very rarely purchase anything much there because the prices are way high for my budget. But since I work in this office building and often have a craving for something sweet in the afternoon, I will go in and buy myself a big cookie. I have tried every variety they carry there, and EVERY time I eat one I am disappointed because all they taste like is undercooked flour and sugar. They are floppy and flavorless. Can we please step up the cookie game? I've got some easy recipes if you need help. Love you people; glad you're here for us; thanks...
Read moreTerrible food. Even worse service. The only reason this cafe stays open is because they have a captive audience of professionals who can't always leave the building for lunch. Today's terrible experience was the last straw -- I will never shop at this store again despite being in such a convenient location. Trust me... take the extra 15 minutes and drive to Publix (honestly, it'll probably be cheaper anyway). I'll be sure to share my...
