Tortacos — Restaurant in Maryland

Ordering from here is a risk factor. Meaning that sometimes depending who’s on the clock varies on food quality. Sometimes the food is on point, other times it’s just terrible. However with my last experience I think I’m done with the place. I ordered my food for pick how I always do, usually they have a table with a sign for pick up, all you have to do is look for your name and bam take your food and not deal with anyone. However this time there’s no food on the table. I made sure not to arrive too early. If anything I was running late. So I’m standing waiting for someone to eventually put my order on the table where I’m supposed to pick up. Nothing! I see a couple of orders just sitting on by the registers. I’m more than certain one is mine. So now I’m waiting to catch the attention from someone to tell them I’ve got a pick up order. I asked a the lady “hello pick up order for _ __ “ she then replies back to me in Spanish. Spanish isn’t my first language so I proceed to answer in English when this other man stands next to her asking me the same question. Eventually they hear me clear enough and hand my order. As I’m about to turn my back and leave I watch them looks towards each other and laugh in a very judgmental way. Granted I’m not the one to jump to conclusions and feel self conscious. Although I was 1000% sure they were laughing at me and speaking under their breath- why? No clue! I brush it off and go home to enjoy my meal with my husband. The food was sooo disappointing more than other times In the past this was the last straw for me. The torta was soggy!! It had barely no meat!! My husband tacos were stale the tortilla seemed old or expired. Soo yeah they lost a faithful customer who time after time gave...

5th Visit! 11.26.24 Pescado Burrito and Al Pastor Tacos. My buddy got a fleet of Al Pastor Taco’s! This place is amazing! If you have not tried it yet you are really missing out. Ask about Torta Tuesday. Earn rewards with the app! Tortatacos is 20 out of 10!

4th Update! 11.12.24 .. yep still the best! 😂 I want to try other things but I love the burritos 🌯 here. Check my profile I eat a lot of burritos and Tortaco’s is still my favorite! 🥳

3rd Update! 8.30.24 Came here for my cheat day lunch. Pescado Burrito and small Rice & Beans. So ridiculously good. Loved it!! I did verde and limes 🍋‍🟩 on every bite of burrito. 🥳

2nd Update! 8.28.24 Just got a Chorizo Burrito and Two Al Pastor Tacos for dinner. This place is ridiculously good. 🥳 At this point I don’t go to any other Mexican restaurant for a quick bite for lunch or dinner. It’s so good. Lately I have been ordering for pickup through “Toast”, similar to Uber Eats or Grubhub but no fee and they prefer to use Toast. If you like anything Mexican you must come here!

1st Update! 8.15.24 I consistently come here for my cheat day meal. Today was a Al Pastor bowl and a Chorizo Quesadilla!! It was amazing!!! This place is still 10/10!!!

Initial Review! I go here every week on my cheat day and get a Chorizo Burrito and Small Rice & Beans. I look forward to it at lunch time and I skip dinner that night!...

The food is usually good but when I went a few days ago I paid 16 dollars for some chicken tacos only to find out the chicken was burned and over cooked on one of the tacos. The 16 dollars I paid for six tacos no drink, no courtesy chips, or even sour cream and they charge you 5 cent for the small bag they give you to fill up with random toppings was a little pricy for me and as I mentioned over cooked chicken. I think this was my last time visiting this business and the next time I have a craving I will just go to chipotle. While the food is good something about this location seems like the food isn’t worth the price and I don’t see any specials or fair priced combos. While I appreciate the business model I don’t think this is a location I would recommend to anyone based on my recent experience and the price. For half of the price of the money you would pay here for a small amount of food you can walk down to dominos or even wing stop and get a better deal all of which are located in the same shopping center. The taco bar also has better food and it’s way cheaper if you want...
