first visit, greeted right away, she let us choose our table and we asked for a high chair, she brought it over we put the baby in and straps were broken. waitress was gone waiting for our beverages i'm sure, we waited for 5 -10 minutes she wasn't back yet so i went to go grab another high chair on my own and looked this one over and those straps were worse and unfortunately those were the only two chairs. another server maybe hostess sitting right next to where i was just looked over at me and continued to roll her silver wear lol instead of maybe acknowledging me. hungry and making the best out of that we said okay whatever we'll just kind of maybe try and tie him in with the straps. crazy idea of course did't work. our server did apologize about the chairs and took our order, the wings were dry, the carrots looked like they were hung outside in the sun to DRY. they were so flimsy and shriveled they drooped right over when you picked one up, more white from being dry then orange, celery didn't look any better. she did offer to bring something else but why would you bring something out like that to begin with. we had to ask for plates napkins and silver wear, i mean who serves chicken wings and doesn't bring at least napkins! to wrap it up the food came out hot but we didn't get exactly how we ordered it. they obviously know how to expo because others brought out our food but our server was never close behind to make sure we were good. things we ordered one the side we never got. i did ask the server/hostess?? who did bring our nachos can we get the pico we ordered on the side brought out? she commented "she'll bring it". which it never happened till we were asking for togo's. we saw our server 4 times in that hour and 20 minutes, she's the one who greeted and sat us and took our drink and chix wing order (#1), she brought our beverages then took our 2nd order (#2), finally brought our pico with the togo's (#3) and then brought the check (#4), i still tipped her she was a very sweet person but the service needs more work, and maybe the cooks were having an off day, it wasn't busy at all, only 2 other tables when we got there and 1 new table when we left, jalapenos in the poppers tasted freezer burnt, the creme cheeze tasted good though lol, but she never knew we didnt like them till we asked for the togo's and the plate sat next to me in the booth seat because table space was limited from other dirty dishes, everybody was very nice and sweet but just maybe needing more hands on...
Read moreMy gf and I were having a spat at the table after she'd been drilling into me all night. It was getting inappropriate and difficult to not reciprocate the energy, but I did it anyway. A waitress with glasses came by, interjected and then walked away. I told her I was open to hear what she had to say. She told the story about her husband cheating on her while she was pregnant. I listened to her, asked her a few basic questions about her relationship so I understood more context. I then attempted to follow up with the key differences between our situation and her own, so she could better understand. She immediately yelled out that I wasn't listening to my gf and had talked the whole time. I told her I hadn't made any points that she could use to understand our own situation. My Gf chimed in very loudly, saying things she shouldn't have, because my retort exposed more that made the general energy get out of hand. The waitress continued to plead a case and yell while my gf also yelled at me from the other side. I got fed up and decided to leave, speaking out loud that I didn't feel heard and did not want to be in this situation. I put my hands up and walked out the booth. The waitress told me I needed to pay and leave, then she pushed me. I put my hands up and told asked her not to touch me, then left.
This woman came out and later apologized for getting overly involved, especially without knowing the situation. She couldn't tell my gf was intoxicated initially, but did insist on getting her home. It put me in a bad situation. My gf drove and had the key. The woman called the cops on me for waiting for my gf to leave, even though she drove us there in her car and I wasnt from that city. She told me "You're a man, you'll figure it out."
This is not okay. You are a server. I think you did what you thought was right, but your emotional immaturity amplified things and made it a bad experience for me. I don't appreciate being yelled at, then being told to PAY and LEAVE, before you decided to put your...
Read moreCogburns is a great local chain and the food is great but this location is completely unmanaged and the employees from back of house to front of house totally untrained.
I live very close by and wanted to make this a regular spot but unfortunately this location just hit three strikes - one on three separate occasions. I have had problems 3 out of four times I have ordered here.
In one to go order they forgot to put sauce on one box of wings. Wasn’t sure if it was a mistake or if it was just a mild / thin sauce so I didn’t question it at the time.
Last night we went in in person and the sever / bartender brought out 5 of the wrong wings. The “wrong order” happened to be the same flavor that I had been missing in my previous to go order, and no explained that story to the server. I said if you guys are just going to toss them I will eat them. She still charged us for the incorrect wings.
Today, my wife wanted some more boneless wings so I called to order more and was told there was a special to “double up” so I placed the order. Then I was called back to be told they couldn’t honor the order to go. THIS WAS A DISCOUNT OF ONLY $2 FROM REGULAR PRICE!!!!
On top of this, if you do go in, make sure you order all the wings together - aka order 20 with 4 sauces instead of ordering two separate orders of 10, because the servers will gladly ring up 2 orders of 10 instead of 1 order of 20 to paid their sales as we learned last night. We ended up charged for 2 orders of 10 and the order of 5 that was a mistake when it should have just been 20 wings.
Until management spends more than 5 minutes training the staff...
