Black Angus Steakhouse — Restaurant in Glendale

So let me be clear on one thing. This review isn't based on the food, it is based on the atmosphere and staff which, sadly outweighed the food. The food was delicious! The filet mignon i got melted and was soo tender and the ribs were juicy and delicious. Everything was good from the drinks, the salads the entrees and the dessert. (Which) i didn't get a picture because I immediately wanted to dig in. But the atmosphere felt so dingy and depressing. There was also a weird energy in there the moment I walked in and found out why soon. There was some major drama going on and they could not be professional enough to keep it in the kitchen. Long story short someone just quit because they didn't like the way they were treated by a customer. But they had such a commotion going on that noone was paying attention to their tables. Especially our waiter. We sat there for about 10 minutes before he came up and asked about drinks. So we ordered drinks and an appetizer. It took like 15 minutes. And when he came back with the drinks and appetizers, we were ready to order. So me and my wife both ordered a salad with our foods and our food was not long to come out. But they brought the food out before our salads? Which i thought the salads were supposed to come first. Buy anyway, he brought our food and then I asked about the salad and then he came out with the salads 5 minutes later. While eating this waiter made himself scarce. I was sitting there with an empty cup for about 20 minutes and then when I finally saw him passing by putting water in other people's cups I stopped him and asked if he could fill mine too and please bring the dessert. So he filled it and came back with the dessert. Luckily he asked me if I wanted a refill on my main drink but it was a little late. He only asked me one time that whole night if me or my wife wanted refills and that was ridiculous to me. Then I asked him for the check and he brought just a receipt and put it on the table. I was expecting him to take my card but it seemed like he didn't have the time. I waited another 10 minutes and just got up and decided I'd pay at the front. I got up to the front went to give my receipt to the lady up there and she rudely said " your supposed to pay your server"! Then he came from behind us and went to the back. Idk it was all weird and I have never had an experience like that at any restaurant. I just feel really bad for those cooks who do such a great job with the food, and the servers basically trample on that with there actions. I won't be coming back to this location but at least me and my wife had a good anniversary dinner! Big shout out to those chefs you guys...

Wait time is usually about 20 min if your early for dinner other than that show up late and expect atleast a 30min+ wait..

The extended walls on the booth seating is awesome it provides more privacy and time for conversation.

The food is great we typically get the filet mignon and the two lobster tails about a $60 plate comes with two sides.. the asparagus is ALWAYS delicious. And seasoned to perfection. The filet is to die for.

I noticed more folks typically order the ribeye.. it is a bit cheaper but I'd rather go filet.. I'd recommend it to anyone it is always cooked exactly how I ask and is Soooo tender when cutting or eating it!!

Lobster is also always great perfect with the butter it comes served with on the side..

The macaroni is HOUSE MADE and so creamy! Kids or adults would definitely enjoy if you are a macaroni/pasta enthusiast!!! Topped off with some crispy crunchies also!! My favorite!!

I noticed some steakhouse will still use Kraft 👎👎👎 BLAH disgusting !!!

Staff and waitress/waiters are always extremely friendly and efficient.. anything I need is retrieved quickly and curtiously with a smile on their face...

I typically spend around $100 including a good tip while splitting a meal with my partner but it sure is enough food for the both of us!! Typically we do add one extra side..

With our last visit to Black Angus we decided not to choose a side but to go with an appetizer.. the loaded potato skins was our choice ... Super delicious.. I could tell they were slightly crunchy a tad over cooked but still DELICIOUS.. .. good enough that I would definitely order them again.. I'd consider this a very MINOR complaint (if that).

The loaded potato boats surely give me a bite of comfort food. The potato's are served with sour cream.. but please ask for ranch to dip them in.. it's the best!!! You can't go wrong!!

This was Saturday April 20th was going here with my boyfriend for OUR birthday super excited we got there host was sweet sat us right behind her on the small booths the last small one before you hot the corner to turn anyway it’s been about ten minutes we are not greeted and a family comes in sits across us in the big booth they didn’t even wait a minute didn’t even ask for drinks yet out so called server comes out and she as water ready for them while she greets them she gives them water and starts taking there order cause I guess they are ready when we were ready as soon as we got there since we had a movie to make we already checked the menu on the way in our Uber anyway after she takes their order she starts small talk with them laughing not even acknowledging us while am saying is that our server I hope not cause we got here way before them am telling my boyfriend loud and kindly enough for her to hear and maybe acknowledge us but nope so after awhile passes of her just laughing with them I don’t know if she knew them or not but they were the same race my boyfriend thinks maybe that’s why she dissed us idk but it was unprofessional to me I’ve worked at black angus before they number the tables on the white sheet that they write your order on who was there first ( the host does that for the server ) and we were there first she saw that we were there and knew that we were there before that table was sat way after us because I saw her see them get sat while she saw us sitting there waiting I wasn’t even paying attention to their ethnicity until we left and he pointed it out idk but it bothered me we skipped birthday dinner and went straight to the movies I love blank angus and some waitresses/waiters just ruin it for you to wanna go back we just wakes out while she kept her small talk going and I told the hosts and she said with eyes wide open she never greeted you and greeted Them first and said am sorry for that she should of approached you first and I said kindly you did everything you were supposed to and were kind compared to our server so we...
