Worst Place in a while Well this my first and last time coming here. First thing I noticed walking in was it smells like a sewage inside. Second the menus were dirty and had stains on them. The prices on the menu are outgrageous. 15$ for a salad and plus for 5$ for meat!? I ordered the Gyro instead. Let me tell you that was the worst gyro in my life. The pita was dry and crumbling just but touching it. The meat was cold, dry, weird tasting. The tsaziki sauce was watered down with huge chunks of cucumber in it (basically tasted like ranch with yogurt) And since when does lettuce and pickles go in Gyros? I ordered the lemonaid with gyuava with it was ok but my stomach was rumbling 5 minutes later. So few hours later i started to vomit and had diarrea . Only postive this about the place was the staff were friendly. Also the theme of the restaurant is confusing. ***If anyone likes my honest reviews then please like my post and follow my google account*** -Thanks

Pita Jungle is a family friendly, Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern oriented restaurant. Albeit American-ized, the flavors and dishes are all fairly original. The Hummus Trio dish (which is also on the Happy Hour menu from 3-6, for only $2) includes the Avacado, Red Bell Pepper, and original hummus. All three flavors are great and properly seasoned. The Gyro was also very well done and seasoned. The portion sizes and prices are all reasonable. I also did get the strawberry banana smoothie, which had a good, light flavor; however, I think the banana in the smoothie made my mouth feel dry. Other than that, the service and atmosphere was great. 5/5 stars.

Being fairly unfamiliar with Phoenix, we were given advice to come here on a Saturday at 6 pm. This is Important because all of the other restaurants were on 1 hour waits at this time. We walk in and were seated immediately. The server was polite and knowledgeable, and the food came out fairly fast and hot. I'm really glad we skipped a certain cake of cheese factory and came here instead. The food was just as good and I believe that the portions are unmatchable. The red bell hummus was good and the Philly steak was great. My wife tried the salmon and mashed potatoes (which i tried) also good, but a little over cooked for me.

Went to Pita jungle arrowhead location last Saturday with my family. We received an add online for a BOGO coupon and we were excited to enjoy some shawarma wraps. To begin our meal we ordered a large hummus appetizer which was good, however the bread offered to us seemed old because pita is meant to split in half, and this bread did not break open what so ever. This was the beginning of an overall terrible experience. We then ordered the Mediterranean Roasted Chicken (Shawarma). One would expect a chicken shawarma wrap to be hot and full of flavor. Sadly this chicken shawarma was very cold and tasteless. We asked our waitress if the chicken was supposed to be cold and her answer was "well the chicken is grilled fresh and the cold sauce and cold vegetables make the sandwich cold" This was disappointing and a blatant lie because no food that is allegedly grilled "fresh" could make it to the table ice cold. The chicken was spongy, had no taste, and so cold it seemed like they pulled it out of a cooler that they use for a cold chicken salad. We had to drown the shawarma in the "tahini" sauce to be edible. I understand that costs have increased but I would rather watch grass grow than pay $10 for a Cold and tasteless shawarma. In addition, the "garlic sauce" had no taste of garlic what so ever it tasted like a poorly prepped mashed potatoes. Finally, the waitress began to get annoyed and displaying a negative attitude towards us and threw our bill on the table. We had split checks and asked her to charge it to one credit card which we thought would make her job a little easier but instead we received a rude/sarcastic "ok" and an eye roll that made me dizzy. Legend has it her eyes are still rolling. I wish there was a decent point during this trip to Pita Jungle but I regret to say I couldn't find one. I personally hate leaving reviews online but this was such a blatant disrespect to us and such a horrible dining experience I had to. I understand now why management has had to change so many times over the years but wow. Some training on how to deliver food to the customer and to just be nice could really be used at this location. Needless to say, but my family and I will never be returning to Pita Jungle. However, if you have a lot of money and are interested in wasting $100 (we are a family of 5) to feed your family ice cold and tasteless shawarmas...

I ordered a gluten free pizza from the waiter. Another staff member brought me my pizza. It was thin crusted and appeared different looking like other gluten free pizza I had eaten in the past so I didn’t think any thing of it. After I had about 3 small slices. My waiter came over and told me it was the wrong pizza and it wasn’t gluten free. He said he would take off my drink and I said I wasn’t paying for any of it. He said ok just take it (meaning the gluten free pizza that I ordered.)

I don’t want anyone to get in trouble but I do have a few suggestions.

  1. the staff thats helping the waiters need to be talked to about the fact that Pita Jungle is one of the few restaurants that has many gluten-free and vegan options and because of that extra care and consideration need to go into preparing and delivering the correct food to the customers since many people have so many deadly allergies. I have lupus which worst case scenario I could end up in the hospital. I had to run to a couple different stores to get the resources I need to digest the gluten correctly, get it out of my body and then reduce the inflammation caused by the gluten by taking medication and anti-inflammatory foods. This causing me to spend money I shouldn’t have to and time. Getting my inflammation down can take up to two weeks causing headaches, stomach issues, bloating, itching among other issues. Basically correct this mistakes is not a walk in the park and is a process with the hope that I don’t end up in the hospital. When you work at a restaurant like this it is more than just serving food. Extra precautions needs to be taken. Carelessness is...

I personally am not a huge fan of this place, as the food and frankly the atmosphere is not my cup of tea. However, literally EVERYONE I know, loves this place. Not that I know a ton of folks, but with math like that I am for sure in the minority here.

As for the places itself, here are my thoughts. The place is set up nice in an open room, with views into the kitchen and bar. There is also an outside seating area for the times of year when it's nice out. The tables are set up with both tables in the middle of the room as well as rows of booth seating and chairs opposite them, similar to cheesecake factory setup. Some folks don't like that, so just an fyi.

Like I said before, the food is not something I typically e joy, but I will say that when I am drug here by other people, I do enjoy the Cilantro Like Hummus with the chicken. They don't have regular tea and if you are expecting that, you will be disappointed. The tea is a fruity passion fruit version and they don't always inform you when you ask for iced tea. That is the reason for four stars and not five.

I have on several occasions asked why they don't get regular black tea and each and every time I'm told, "You know, we get asked that all the time." Why not make a small change if one is asked constantly for the small change?

Overall, I would not choose to go here, but that is not because the food is bad or the tea. I am just not into this kind of food. If your friends or family want to go here and you're the odd one out, it is not a bad place to...
