Philz Coffee — Restaurant in Glendale

This place was bustling with people when I arrived, and I very quickly found out why!

The service here is incredible, the baristas are all amazingly warm, welcoming, and helpful with preparing and customizing your drinks for you. There was A LOT of people in line, and they kept it moving remarkably fast! No wonder so many people like coming here! For once, a place definitely lives up to its hype!

My barista was very friendly and full of smiles, and helped me to pick a tea that would suit me best, and recommended honey and other customizations to it, which tasted AMAZING!

After ordering your drink, you go over to the cash register where you can order baked goods, pastries, and bagel sandwiches as well, if you so desire. Got one of their bagel sandwiches, which tasted absolutely delicious. The cashier was extremely helpful and friendly as well, helping to explain some of the foods in the display case to me and picking one that sounded like it would suit me best. Incredible how personal, helpful, and warm they are to each and every person, and yet still keep things moving so quickly and efficiently! I was honestly very impressed, and almost blown away!

My sandwich and my green tea were both prepared relatively quickly, considering how crowded it was inside, and both were absolutely delicious. Loved the crunchy and fresh cucumbers with the wonderful cream cheese and oil inside of the bagel sandwich, and the green tea was SUBLIME. The honey she recommend went perfectly with it, and it was so warm and soothing on the throat.

It's also a lovely place to work on your laptops while eating and drinking, as they have strong WiFi, and comfortable seating both inside and out.

A wonderful visit! I'll definitely come back again for some wonderful service, delicious food and drink, and a great spot to get some work done...

This line here is out of control I’ve been waiting to order for over ten minutes I have no idea why it’s taking this long. They’re almost out if pastries and it’s 4 pm. Granted it’s Presidents’ Day and it must be busy but considering there are only 3 people ahead of me in line and I’ve waited this long so far is really giving me a terrible first impression. I don’t get it are they doing online orders before anyone in person?? There are three people in the kitchen. I just payed 6 for a large cold brew I hope it’s worth it. Looks like all the seats are taken inside there is outdoor seating. I know Philz generally for their work-friendly environment, you come to Philz and get a coffee and they have chargers and Wi-Fi and restrooms you can use. This location the music is kinda loud. The interior has a couch and a big desk where various people are working in different things. I’m waiting for my cold brew now and I see a bunch of orders for what I’m assuming is online orders and I just don’t get it because if it were me I would focus on the folks who actually come in the store first instead of getting a bunch of drinks done. Oh wow I just tried my drink and it raised my 3 star review to a 4 star!! When all is said and done the staff here does seem quite friendly and it makes me forgive them for the wait time. I’ve gone twice in the late morning around 10/11am. It didn’t look super busy but there’s always a line. Only a few ppl in front of me and it took 20 mins to get my order in. Once I got to the cashier she was busy preparing hot food orders. Please don’t assign the only cashier to multi task. One person needs to be taking orders at all times to get the line moving. If you have time to kill then come anytime and you’ll have your drink in about 30 mins. My break is not that long and by the time I got my drink I had to run back to work. Also, the drink I wanted wasn’t even available by the time I got to the cashier. Very disappointed in the mocha. It’s a hot cocoa with coffee. Flavor is not very good. Mocha sauce is easy to make. Please improve this one. Mochas are staple drinks. The mojito drink is very good. That’s the only reason I’m giving this place a 3 stars.
