Pho AnAn — Restaurant in Glendale

Awful experience. :( Went for my daughter’s 25th birthday celebration. I ordered the round steak and brisket pho. It did not taste good to me. I agree with a review that was left by another customer that stated that the broth tastes like tapwater. The meat had sour taste to it. I sent the pho back and asked to trade it for the vegetable pho. I was told I could not trade my brisket pho for the veggie, but that I would be given a 10% discount. My daughter is very uncomfortable with confrontation, and since it was her birthday, I let it go. But I did call and discuss the matter with the manager once I was home and he talked over me and argued with me for 5 solid minutes saying that I should have asked to sample the broth before I ordered the beef broth. He said it is not their fault that I didn’t like the broth, and they could not trade it for me after I ordered it. I personally have never heard of a situation where food had to be sent back because the customer could not eat it and was still charged for it. There are other reviews that mention the same situation. There are also replies from the owner, apologizing for the situation and stating that he will talk to his staff and make sure it never happens again. But it did happen again tonight. Definitely not a way to get return customers. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because it was clean but very chilly with drafts from the fans and a/c and we were cold...

Disappointed. I live very close and was so excited to find a new place just 5 min away I could go for my pho fix. I love pho.

The food was just okay, I had pho Tai, the broth had a tap water taste to it unfortunately.

The real issue was the terrible service. The young man who was serving clearly did not care about what he was doing. When asked what my tea options were he said "just tea" I asked for which kind he said "I don't know, do you want it?" Then it was very challenging to request and extra helping of basil and sprouts. I asked for a 2nd plate because the 1st was very small and I like extra. When I asked for more basil he pulled his hand out of his pocket and touched my food??? Why are you putting your hands in direct contact with guests food??! You didn't wash....

I paid the $16 for a just okay bowl of tap water flavored soup and awful service and won't be back. Awful service do...

I ordered brisket and revieved a large bone as if I ordered ribs. There was no meat on the bone, it was all fat. I wasn't able to salvage 1 piece of eatable meat off the bone provided to me.

On top of the wrong order, and bad cut of meat, the service was crazy.

Poor girl up front was busy but also might have been new. She told me at first she couldn't take my order, I asked what do you mean? For the next 15 minutes or indefinitely ? Are you closing? (It was 6pm) the chef told me they could take my order in 5 minutes. I would have been fine waiting until she had a moment to order, but telling people you cant take their order was crazy. This poor girl should have been trained properly on how to juggle multiple tasks, before staffing her to work a busy saturday...
