I do really enjoy this place and would recommend it, I've ordered from here a lot and had most of the menu at this point. I give it 4 stars only because there is some room for improvement on some of the menu items.
My favorite food item on the menu is the garlic noodles with beef added. The beef is basically just delicious tender diced carne asada. It pairs amazingly well with the garlic noodles.
I love the elote, it is sweet, savory, and delicious. I prefer the classic elote over the cheetohs toped ones, the cheetohs topping adds a slightly negative texture to the mix, and doesn't add enough flavor enhancement to justify it.
I love all of the drinks. I am a huge milk tea fan and gravitate towards those. The coffee horchata is also amazing, as is the strawberry horchata, which has delicious fresh chunks of strawberry in it. Their horchata is some of the best I've had in its own right. I've gotten some of their camo drinks as well, they are really good, but I tend to avoid the extra sweetness. The fruit drinks are also really good if you are into that.
The chicken is great, crispy, lean, and good quality meat. The batter has is seasoned well. I prefer the popcorn chicken, the amount you get for the value is the best in regards to their chicken options. I just wish they offered the lemon pepper in the popcorn chicken and not just the chicken wings. Otherwise I usually just get their normal mild chicken. The spice they use to add heat to their chicken (I am assuming it is cayenne powder) doesn't add any flavor to the chicken. It just increases the heat, but adds nothing else to the dish. I prefer when the heat has a flavor component to it. I also wish they'd step up their Buffalo sauce game. It is basically just some straight cayenne pepper hot sauce. They need to thicken it up with some butter or something to give it more character. The BBQ chicken and garlic chicken are both pretty good if you are in the mood for it, and both have a sweetness to them. I would like to see them experiment with some new flavors of chicken.
Carne asada fries are pretty good, though I've only ordered them once. Their carne asada itself is just really...
Read moreHorrible customer service. They let a random person pick up my DoorDash order. When my dasher got there, they said the order was already picked up. It clearly was their mistake for giving it to the wrong person. They wouldn’t accommodate or remake my drinks even after my dasher showed them proof. Do better!
Response to you: Not true! You guys told my dasher that my order had already been picked up before 3:35pm. The nice dasher that tried to explain to you guys what was going on had to mark the order as picked up because the app did not give any other options. So the 3:35 was her marking it as picked up until she could get a hold of support. Mind you this was a double dash order so that time also reflects the time of my food order she delivered. We both had to chat with support at DoorDash and thankfully they have GREAT customer service and refunded me right away. Don’t make me submit screenshots of the chat between me and the dasher while she was there fighting for my order, explaining everything. You guys were rude and have horrible customer service. You guys have plenty of reviews stating the same issue with your service. So once again don’t get on here arguing a rebuttal with the wrong facts. JUST DO BETTER!
Another response smh: original dasher was always Nadia. You guys gave the order to the wrong dasher for another persons order. Next time check the order on the dasher’s phone like you’re supposed to. Just look at your responses! Not one apology ever for any inconvenience. So quick to attack and defend with wrong info. If you read my response , it says both me and the dasher already took it up with DoorDash who has superb customer service. They apologized on your behalf and reimbursed me. Now for the last...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place out! And when I heard they were expanding to AZ, I was super excited! It's a bummer that I'm leaving this review since my friends and I left a bit confused and upset. A group of us took a trip to the Glendale, AZ location and as expected there was at least a 30 minute wait to order. Understandable - Anywho, the concept is very cool and hip, very modern place. Friendly and busy staff of course. We ordered a few things on the menu. For instance, the mangonada, strawberry horchata, the hot Cheetos corn and a variety of boba teas ..
Here is our review on the food - The mangonada wasn't what we expected :( - It had a wierd taste to it almost artificial?? Anywho, the strawberry horchata was okay, the boba was so so and the corn with the cheetos broke my heart - it was dry with a little flavor :'( - Now, I can't speak for all the other locations but as far as first impressions we all left expecting more - Would I go back? Hmmm maybe if I'm around the area. Would I recommend it??? Ooh that's a tough one since there are some tasty locations in Phoenix and Avondale that make similar snacks (antojitos) or boba (Bomba or JT Boba House) - they're fairly new so maybe they are still working on...
