my friend and i come here all the time and have had great experiences. although all it takes is one bad experience to deter a loyal customer, which is exactly what happened tonight. we came in around 8pm which, mind you, is still an hour before the listed closing time. we were greeted by glares and the silent treatment by the multitude of employees behind the counter. we weren’t even asked if we wanted to dine in or take our food to go before my friend’s salad was immediately made in the to go container (which doesn’t hold nearly the same amount of salad as their regular dine in bowls). i’m assuming they were just trying to keep customers from eating in so they didn’t have to do their job which is close the store at the time the store is supposed to close. i had ordered the bbq brisket sandwich and when i bit into it, the meat was ice cold. i went back up to the front and informed the guy with glasses that my sandwich was cold, which he then proceeded to walk over to what im assuming was the container of brisket, stick his finger in it, then walk back over and tell me its supposed to be cold. i don’t know about anyone else, but i’ve never had a brisket sandwich where it was purposely served cold. and i’ve ordered this sandwich a million times before and the meat had never been cold before. the employee refused to rectify the situation so i gave up and went back to just eat my soup because if that meat is cold, who knows how long its been sitting out for. when my friend and i were close to being done eating, that same employee came up to the drink station and proceeded to passive aggressively do a restock, slamming cabinet doors and all. (at this point it was around 8:30). there was another couple who came in after us who was sitting nearby who was also clearly upset by the service and quality of food they received. whoever was working may 27th at 8pm needs to be spoken to by a general manager about their abhorrent behavior towards customers because they are costing this store loyal customers. my friend and i have both decided we’re never coming back to this location after the horrible way we...
Read moreIt’s fairly accepted that no Cafe Zupas in the valley is fast. Or organized. But typically the stuff are friendly and the food is good. This location, however, completely missed the mark. When we arrived at 12 pm on a Saturday, there were 6 people in line ahead of us. Four staff were at the counter in the usual locations- sandwich/salad, soup bar, dessert bar, register. When we finally got to place our order after waiting 15 minutes, the gentleman took our sandwich order…and walked away. He didn’t write it down - just left the area. Another crew member came behind him and proceeded to take sandwich orders from next guests and make them. Meanwhile.. our order basically was going nowhere. Out of nowhere, a manager came out and started complaining to the crew about her car being in the shop. (Totally distracted the staff from taking care of the growing line of people waiting to order.) At this point we finally got to the register and none of our food was there because the crew didn’t make it. The manager asked what our order was and I tried to explain what had just happened. She wasn’t having it and told me I didn’t understand how their food line worked. I politely explained that I did know how it worked and that our order wasn’t there because the guy forgot to write our order down. She literally grabbed the next sandwiches available and put them on our tray. Those weren’t ours- they belonged to next guests after us. When I explained that to her she threw her hands up and said “I’m out- I don’t want to get yelled at.” This confused me because I was never yelling in the first place. Anyways- they finally made some sandwiches and gave them to us. Guess what?! They weren’t what we ordered. But at this point we had been waiting 30+ minutes and just wanted to eat. Meanwhile, Ms.Manager was on the phone yelling at her mechanic in front of the guests. It was pretty funny but definitely a reason why I won’t ever go to this location again. Terrible experience that cost me $35 to eat what I...
Read moreDo not recommend, poor customer service. We placed an online order for 3 pick 2s at the arrowhead location 10/26 at 548 with a listed ready/pick up time of 616. When I arrive at 620 to pick up the order there were 10 other customers standing at the pick up area. I waited til 658 to get my order!!!! The staff literally did not care about the delay, just completely apathetic .The biggest issue with this whole debacle was the only single staff member working on to go orders started prioritizing customers who started complaining and asking about their orders repeatedly even if it meant their order was completed before another's earlier ready time. Instead of helping the to go orders catch up the shift lead/supervisor never moved from their desert spot and just continued to pass soup bowls to trays and add strawberries/bread rolls. No leadership, just lazy. Customers who waited in the in person order line that had arrived at the same time as me received their orders and left the store 20minutes before I did. I realized that I should have just gotten in the regular line to have my online order made and would recommend this to anyone who goes here if their online order isn't ready when it's supposed to be. This company also has a major fail from an IT perspective as well. If the store is so busy that online orders can't be completed on time - either extend the times based on in person demand or block online ordering during peak hours or atypical rushes like other similar fast food stores like Pei Wei. To top it off the avacado chicken chop salads were missing 50% of the name - no avacado... Won't be back to any cafe zupas ever, the food isn't good enough to make up for the terrible attitude and...
