Good food, average to above average. I usually order the gyro sandwich on a pita. 9.47 is a little high but so is everything else in the world. The gyro is made from meat that’s on one of those rotating skewers. Only problem with that is if no meat has been sliced off it, it begins to develop a crust of dried meat. I had my lunch late today so it should have pretty fresh from the sandwiches cut for lunch. Most places would cut the crusty part off as it really hinders the enjoyment of the sandwich. Well, my sandwich was approximately 20% crusty dry gyro meat. I’ve been coming here for years and I always look forward to it. Today I experienced something I’m quite shocked with. Usually it the owner or one of her daughters (I think) that takes the order and payment: today strangely enough, there was a tall young kid, taking me over. So I proceeded to order a Gyro sandwich and a large Coke 3.29. The total came out to $14.81. So I paid it, but I questioned the total. Truthfully, I have never questioned the price of something and that’s just my own personal way of doing things. But when I went to sit down while they were making my food, I happen to look up at the board with the pricing and I’m no math whiz, but it wasn’t adding up. If you add up. $9.47 plus $3.29 the total comes to. $12.46. I believe at most the tax on food in a restaurant is 8% if you add 8% of the total. which is $1.02 you should have a total of $13.48. My total bill came out to $14.81. There’s a discrepancy here of approximately $1.50 now here’s the fun part instead of giving me a large cup for the soda. He gave me a small cup so when he first gave it to me, I thought maybe I was charged for a small drink so I didn’t say anything. But again when I looked up and saw the pricing, he didn’t charge me only for a large cup. He charged me something else which I really don’t know what because the total that I paid does not make any sense. I put zero on the tip because I was questioning it right from the get-go. So I don’t know if I’m gonna have ever come back here again or not. I really like their food today was a mediocre, but that could be because I had a sour taste in my mouth from the guy at the register. But again, I am actually not one that likes to make a fuss so I didn’t say anything to him didn’t question nothing but the only thing you can do is come on here and...
Read moreSo far, $8 for just a gyro sandwich is kinda pricey, very tiny sandwich....will update after eating, either way the quantity is lacking for the price. Should at the least include a pile of french fries. I'm from Chicago, near greek town........no offense, it's a decent sandwich, but you guys need to price it within reason, and price seems to clash. I wouldn't recommend as far as quantity to price, I was left hungry on the ala cart menu. Kinda surprised .......apparently AZ is the place to open a Mediterranean restaurant since the locals don't care about the value of what they get. Sorry, is sad. BTW, I'm not one to review anyone, and am not into making bad 'raps' as a disgruntled customer. Very dissatisfied with the price, to quantity. Mediocre fare, price isn't justified. Will try the steak shawarma tomorrow, but after tonight, my hopes are low. update The gyro is mediocre, as far as my experience there is no value price wise, tiny portion for the price, like very. Kind of a ripoff actually. And the tsatziki is bland.....sorry, I don't mean to put this place down, I'm sure that it blows away anything in the area....call me spoiled. By true Greeks, from where I come from.... I would have gotten a massive sandwich that I would have had to pick the meat off of before I could actually wrap up the pita so I could have eaten it. This gyro, was like an appetizer, without fries.....just giving an...
Read moreSo so sad to see that there has obviously been a change in ownership here at Greek Wraps. We have been coming here for years and years. We used to tell everyone about the great food. We will not be doing that anymore.
We want the previous owners to know that you all were excellent. Always GREAT food and service that felt like you cared. We appreciate all the work and effort you put into the restaurant while it was yours. THANK YOU FOR YEARS OF EXCELLENT FOOD AND FRIENDLY SERVICE.
To the new ownership. One of your employees was vaping pot in a both and literally fell asleep in two different booths while we were there. You had to ring a bell to wake him up to come serve our food and others. The food tastes different and the service is extremely poor. Humus and food does not taste the same. Portion sizes have gone down. You can not compete with the taste and quality of food that once was. You should probably change the name so everyone knows it’s not the same.
We miss the authenticity, quality and friendliness. We will miss you Greek Wraps. Pray that the previous owners are on to new and great adventures in their life.
This was our go to for excellent Greek food. Sad to say, we will not be returning We are off to find a new Greek restaurant that’s cares like the previous owners did with quality fresh amazing food and...
