Founded in 1974 by Raul Martinez Sr. King Taco is a fast-food restaurant chain based in Los Angeles, California, serving soft tacos, burritos, sopes, tamales, nachos, and authentic Mexican drinks such as horchata, jamaica, and tamarindo. Some locations also serve rotisserie chicken. I've personally had King taco maybe 4 times, I got my first taste from a friend who drove all way from the bay just to give them a try. Unfortunately, I was unable to eat the burrito right away (doesn't count). The 2nd time was the DTLA location honestly, I wasn't fond of the flavorless tacos. I had friends in town craving King Taco, the nearest location was Mountain Ave, in Ontario. A bit toasted from the night before, I was looking forward to a greasy flavorful taco. Again, a bit disappointed in the tacos. I didn't understand the hype..... I was in area and thought, let's give them ONE LAST TRY. #Bestdecisionevermade The carne asada combo burrito was scrumptious. The combo of carne, rice and beans were perfect, not too much or little of something, know what I mean? The flavor profile was absolutely delish when paired with the verde. The only down side was that they do not have extra slices of lemon or lime.

After hitting a lot of fine dining places during my trip to Glendale, I grabbed some King Taco on my last night, and I don’t regret it. I ordered the carne asada nachos and I really did not even eat the meat because this drippy yellow cheese goodness was everything that’s right. These tasted exactly like the late night 7-Eleven nachos of my youth. They were perfect in every way. I also ordered a chicken flauta, which was crispy and delicious. This food was very inexpensive and my total came to $21. I did also order two sides of sour cream, which was $4 and unnecessary. Thank goodness we don’t have one of these places in the Pacific Northwest or I would be going there way too often. Highly recommended!

As a non-native speaker, I must remind you, using a little Spanish goes a long long way. Just used what little words I could, and the folks were very delighted. Service was GREAT! Taste of the food isn't bad, but of course the original is the best. Still, this place isn't bad. Plus, their sauces are actually spicy! Best of all, tons of seats and lots of space to eat in. Not bad on a Monday morning. Best of all, food came out pretty fast.

I been today in king taco Glendale location. I have a bad experience from register to quality of food to Manager Javier Martinez.

My order number was 127 (if corporate gonna do investigation), we ordered food and ask to put on receipt Horchata refill which is $2. Register forget to put refill which give me 10 more minutes to make sure what’s going on.

Tacos carne asada meet was not enough prepared , I order chicken tacos , I ask register is it spicy ? She told me no just a little bit. So at the end it was spicy enough.

When I came to register to make another 4 tacos asada and I ask make meet well done, register don’t understand me I tell her another 5 times well done but she just ask me back , do you wanna cilantro , do you wanna onion , so she didn’t understand and speak English.

After I ask manager , here appear Javier Martinez , I try to explain him another 5 times but he don’t understand me or he don’t wanna understand me , I ask that tacos carne asada was not prepared good enough it was boiled, after I ask manager to bring somebody who speak and understand English.

After that mister Javier Martinez told me that this is Mexican place with Mexican food - not American , when he told me that he sounds very aggressive and he hide in back room , after that I request somebody who speak English and district manager contact , I was denied. After 10 min step out from back room very pretty lady who speak English , I explain her what happen and she try to give me free food but I denied coz the point is not in free food point in how Javier Martinez emotion before, this is Mexican place and Mexican food.

I qualify his words in very rude attitude , and I want to know what he exactly mean under his words ? I qualify his words as a racism !!!

Lady told us that he is not a Restraunt Mamager he is assistant of Manager.

So I asking King Taco management take an attention that they have in King Taco #29 rude - racist - unprofessional - non English speaker “assistant of manager” Javier Martinez.

mister martinez I want to remind you , that Glendale is a part of Los Angeles wich is a part of California , wich is a part of USA.

I hope corporate will take under control and fire this super assistant of manager.

P.S. Martinez hide in the back room and didn’t provide district manager or store manager contacts he told via lady call to king taco customer care.

P.S. 2 food give us huge acid.

Anyway I recommend to come in this place coz 2 “super employees can’t destroy one of my favourite food place in...

This review based from what I witness.

Today I decided to go to King Taco located in Glendale, Ca and as I was waiting in line, I noticed a gentleman in front of me who approached the cashier, the gentleman order one taco and when the cashier rang the total, the gentleman was short .08 cents, the cashier extended her hand and gave back the money and informed the client that he needed to pay the additional .08 cents in order to complete the order, the gentleman had no more money and just walked away.

When I approached the cashier, I called the gentleman and place his order on his behalf.

Witnessing this type of behavior from an employee of a big Corporation like King Taco made my blood boiled!!!! Denying food over .08 cents to someone who is down on his/her luck is inhuman and big Corporations like King Taco not being able to process the order over eight cents left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

King Taco Management if you are reading this, let me remind you that King Taco first open in Cypress Park, only because King Taco grew to be a big Corporation doesn't mean you have to forget where you come from. HUMBLE YOURSELF! learn how to give back to the community, specially to the ones in need!!!

P.S throughout this process there was guy in a blue shirt who he seem like a Supervisor next to the cashier who did...

There is not a bad thing to say. But in the meat. I wouldn’t insist that anyone should eat here. I ordered a taco and had the option between a beef or steak.(which they insisted that ground beef was the same as steak.) .. Further along .. I get the taco and the meat was abnormally a darker color than any normal meat and had a completely different soft texture than both beef and steak. If it were not for the onions and cilantro I would have spat it out and while eating it I considered that something by was off. And I didn’t want to waste it, or be petty enough to return it for the money so I gauped it down. But I was sick in the stomach and felt poison in the heart for at least a little over 24 hours then it subsided . Had to be like something we don’t associate with animals.. and it made me not want to try a new restaurant.. because a taco is almost impossible to get wrong . But the toppings would have made it best if the meat was not poisonous. For the money and you a little on the wild camping side and will eat just about anything.. go! If not .,, take your chance. And they don’t speak English well.. I know a poisonous meat when I feel it going through my body.. at healing rate.. I...
