Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Glenwood Springs

We were at Chili’s today around 5pm the hostess was nice we were sited fast. Our server was a Latina with black hair and blue highlights. we ordered 3 entrees the tall skinny girl that brought our food was really nice and everything was good until on my daughters honey chipotle crispers had a long blond hair tangle in the chicken so I called the server and told her and I picked the hair with a napkin to show her and she told me to give her the hair and she started to inspect the hair and she even put the hair in the light to look at it a guess, I don’t know what she was looking at it because none of us had blond hair in the table. She said she was going to go and check who’s hair it was and she took a while and came back and said that they were going to go and make a new entree so I said if they were going we wanted it to go because we just wanted to leave and had lost appetite. She said that they were going to make it right. We asked her for the check and she came with the paper check which we always pay at the machine with a card but I guess she wanted cash instead and then I have her $20 dollar bills to pay the amount and I thought she was going to come back and give us the change from the total so we could tip her maybe but no she only said sorry and rolled the money and the receipt and put it in her pocket and left to another table and we just looked at each other like WHAT??? My review is from 2 months ago (end of Nov, 2021) but I feel compelled to share my disastrous experience at this Chili's. I should mention that this used to be my husband and I's favorite restaurant whenever we'd go to Glenwood or farther west (we lived in Vail). We went there to celebrate (again one of my fave restaurants) our daughter's 4th birthday with friends who had never gone to that Chili's, so we told them about how much we loved this place... (Big mistake). When we first got there, our friends were already waiting for a table and it took good 20 minutes to seat us although people that had arrived after us were being seated during that time, we were 5 ppl, it seemed like we were just being disregarded. I could explain in excruciating detail how abismal our whole experience was but I'll just say that our server River was the worst server I've ever had in my life, the food was just below standards and plain disgusting. Oh! And although I told River that it was my daughter's birthday like 3 times, he didn't even offer to sing her happy birthday and when he tried to make it up to us by bringing a lava cake "for her birthday", IT WAS FREAKING FROZEN!!! like, for real... Anyhow, this used to be our favorite spot and it has now become the worst, so it's safe to say that we won't...

We've all seen food items that do not look like the menu pictures. Chili's has now moved into that category. I ordered the "Smokehouse Combo". Very disappointing, especially at the $16 premium. The Chicken Crispers in no way resembled the Chili's Chicken Crispers we all grew up with. They were half the normal size, tough, and lukewarm. The "Jalepeno-Cheddar Smoked Sausage" was a third smaller in diameter than any other "smoke house sausage"/hot link I have had everywhere else on the planet. You don't pick up on the smaller size in the menu picture. Shady. It would appear Chilli's is making portion changes to increase the bottom line. On top of that, the garlic toast was soggy. And last but not least, the French Fries were tough and lukewarm. While some of these issues may point to cooperate changes (possibly) there were clearly execution issues that would have to be blamed on the location itself (such as having to ask a second time for my water, sauce, and extra order of cold fries). I should not have paid, but did not want a confrontation. I hate to say it, but don't waste your money. There are much, much better places less than...
