Just for kicks, my wife and I stopped in to watch a local hockey game (middle/high school, maybe?) and then go to the open skate after, while on vacation. The guy running the front desk was really nice. It's a short walk from the hotels on the north side of town, greenways all the way. Open skate is cheap, rental skates are inexpensive but nice. Concessions were good too. Hot cocoa and popcorn, etc. Family friendly, big rink, nice ice, and good skates. We had a great time. (Fair warning, like any open skate, there are lots of kids. But that's to be expected on open skate night.)
