Me and my coworkers love stopping by Fuzzy’s after our shift for drinks and snacks… at least we used to. Within the past few months, there have many things to complain about, many of which I think have been due to staffing. Whether it’s being short staffed, or having poorly trained employees there… My coworkers and I are in the service industry and we KNOW how difficult times can be when there aren’t enough people to staff the restaurant.
Some of past experiences have included me waiting an hour for a breakfast burrito and 3 frozen margaritas to-go. The young, undertrained “bartender” apologized for the wait saying the mix was not quite frozen yet. Totally understandable. I personally don’t think it should’ve taken as long as it did, even if he was slammed. Another past experience was when I asked that same “bartender” for a top shelf margarita, he responds with “yessir” then proceeds that with “so by top shelf you meeeean?..” me and another customer had to explain to him what top shelf meant. When me and the customer noticed he didn’t have the ingredients for one, I asked for just a margarita with a double shot in it. His response was “so by double you meeeean?…” It was at this point me and the other customer realized this kid has had NO training behind the bar and does NOT belong there, nor does it help that he was also having to man the cash register up front. Mind you, these are all past experiences that I’ve never brought because I’m understanding and am in the service industry myself. This most recent experience was unacceptable. I enter the restaurant and sit down at the bar top. It took 15 minutes for the (only FOH) employee to drop by the bar and when he did, he never made eye contact and never said a thing. A few minutes pass, he comes by again and says “wassup”. I say “not much, how about you”. He grabs what needs and proceeds to leave again. He then proceeds to drop by the bar 3 more times along with a distributor dropping off cases of beer, so he may have been busy helping out.. But the fact I never got an, “I’ll be right with you”, “I’m busy and catching up at the moment, thank you for your patience”, OR EVEN A “how can I help you?” is why I’m not recommending this location to anyone around here. From this point on, the only thing I’ll order is a frozen margarita because it’s the one thing they can’t mess up and the only thing that has been consistent...
Read moreAnother update on Fuzzy's Taco Shop....... Fuzzy's Taco Shop use to be such a favorite place to sit on the patio and enjoy good food. I went this Memorial Day weekend during the afternoon. Lot's of people on the square but aside from 2 tables inside, the patio was empty. There was only 3 employees, 2 in the kitchen. and one to work the front of the restaurant. You must now go to the bar to order food. I will say the young man working was very personable and friendly. We ordered the chicken nachos, which use to be great. No more....we received a plate of tortilla chips with cheese and chicken on top. The rest was just a big pile of chips. The cheese and chicken were lukewarm. There was a time that Fuzzy's had ice cold beer. No longer, it was cool, not cold and mine was flat. The food is no longer the quality it use to be but that was not my biggest concern. The place is filthy, the floors do not appear to have been washed in awhile, the area around the restrooms smells like sewer. I have no clue what the smell it but it is overpowering. The women's restroom was unclean with trash on the floor. I have attached photos, this is so sad as this place use to be such a great spot and a favorite gathering place for tourists and locals alike.
Update on Fuzzy's.......ate there recently and it has gone downhill fast. No one at counter to order, you must go to bar to place food order, I use to love their nachos and cilantro rice. The rice was cold and hard, like it had been sitting for days, the nachos had very little on them, mostly a plate of chips with a bit of cold cheese. So disappointing as this use to be one of my favorite places to sit on the patio and people watch. I hope it turns around because it use to be an...
Read moreOkay I want to first say that I know businesses are struggling for employees and food right now, which is why I’ve kept my many complaints to myself recently….BUT this time it was so bad that I could not! I order from Fuzzy’s weekly and sometimes twice a week bc I LOVE Fuzzy’s food (at other locations at least) but almost every lunch time order I’ve received from Granbury, has either been messed up or just unbelievably poorly made! Most of the time it’s the chips being over cooked with no Fuzzy dust(which is what makes their chips!), or the rice being hard/flavorless, or just the fact that this is the only location that takes out many fan fav items! This last order not only did my nachos not have anything but chicken on them, the extra bag of chips had not one spec of fuzzy dust, and the side of nacho cheese had a disgusting brown chunk of something in it!! Literally gagged! The employees are usually very rude and funny thing is, I talked to the owner about hiring me to manage for him bc I’ve worked in restaurants for 18 years and was a regular at other Fuzzy’s, and I wanted to help get this one to the standards of Fuzzy’s usual awesome reputation. Never called me back. Now has a rude manager that doesn’t seem to care much about anyone who walks through the door. Sucks guys and need to do something about all of this bc Granbury has few options but that doesn’t mean your employees...
