Very terrible experience! African food is already expensive talkless of when you don’t get what you paid for it can be highly disappointing. While at the restaurant I checked my food to make sure it was okay. I complained that there was more red stew than egusi on the plate. She took the plate in and just forgot about me. Waited for another 14 minutes before she brought out the same plate and did not add anything to it! The customer service was a 0.5! Let’s start off with the amount of oil that was put in my soup, the ratio was more than soup. Once you take out your meat from the soup you are left with a very small portion of soup. The meat/fish is used to boost up how big the soup looks when it really is not. They give you 2 pounded yam, I couldn’t finish the first one because the soup was already finished midway. We were so disappointed with all the orders. The only plus is the amount of pounded yam they give you. Trust me I shall not...
Read moreThe worst service I’ve ever received. They were out of everything we ordered. We finally settled on what they would bring us. 3 of the same entrees. They were all brought to the table 20 min apart. All 3 were so spicy that it was s joke. We are not sensitive to spice. As a matter of fact I encourage spice most of the time. This was a different level. They Over spiced the food to run us off. We ordered stewed goat. One would think just from the nature of the name Stewed goat it be tender slow cooked maybe even “stewed” but the meat that was in the dish was so rubbery and that it wasn’t even a real cut of meat. it was the trash and the trimmings. Mind you we were the only three customers in the restaurant at the time. Also the only three customers not African in an African restaurant. There’s no doubt in my mind that all this was intentional because we were not one of them. Which is sad because we were looking forward to a...
Read moreWhere do I start😣 It was Nasty! I ordered the Jollof rice with goat meat and FuFu with Egusi soup. The meat was tougher than tough, like you couldn't even swallow it. The Jollof rice was scorched and when I brought it to their attention, I was told that it is supposed to have a Smokey taste. Now I'm not new to eating this food as I have literally been eating it for over 35 years and NEVER had I had any that taste this bad! I knew it was bad when my dog wouldn't touch it. There are alot of wild animals in my neighborhood as my home backs up to a open field. I set it out overnight and neither the opossum nor the coyotes touched it. It was horrible. I was not fresh at all, I would say it was made days prior to it's toughness. We literally left and went to McDonald's. I only gave it a star because I had to and the plantains that came with the Jollof was decent. Definitely a...
