I spend a ton of time in coffee shops for work, particularly Starbucks. This is without a doubt THE DIRTIEST one I've ever been in!! For the last 3 days I've gone here and today I couldn't stay. You would think that a company that won't even touch my clean cup that I bring in for a refill (which I think is ridiculous because you'll handle the dirty cash customers hand you all day and then slide over and make drinks without washing your hands) would be super conscientious about sanitation but I always seem to have to clean off my own tables no matter what Starbucks I go into. Guess that is just your company's culture, but as you can see from the pics, today was too much! Friday night, when I went in, I found a table, and usual, I had to grab some napkins to clean off the table. When I got to the trash can to grab a few napkins, I noticed the kids' high chair. Now I get it because I owned a restaurant and know thing happen but I was a little surprised to see what looked like a kid has vomited corn all over the seat and it was dripping on the floor. Being Friday night, I figured they were just busy and would soon get to it. Fast forward to 2 pm on Saturday. Come in and choose the same table, go for napkins, and to my surprise, the vomit chair has not been touched. Again, fast forward to 3:30 Sunday. Sit at another table, go to get napkins, both holders were out of napkins, and THE VOMMIT CHAIR IS STILL DIRTY! I'm just spitballing here, but shift leaders run your shift, managers, manage your team, GM what's going on in your store, area/ district manager is this...

I came into this Starbucks last week totally beat. Friggin run down. I'll admit I'm usually pretty annoyed already because for some reason I pick Starbucks and have to have it made again sometimes, and end up waiting with other people who are wanting new drinks. Anyway when I was waiting to order I noticed no one was handing any drinks back, so I was pretty stoked for the good sign. They were very nice when I ordered and one of the employees near by made polite conversation as I waited and he worked. I noticed he was making sure things were done correctly, while still entertaining me, even though I'm sure I was pretty annoying due to the exhausted rambling. Like right now.
So the bottom like is, I found out this guy's name is Mark. He's awesome. He gets things done and he makes you feel like a human when you thought you had accidentally left your human form behind somewhere on Wednesday behind a pile of work. He also looked super familiar, and I figured out it's because he kind of looks like Gerard Butler in the eyes.
So if you want an incredible experience at Starbucks, like someone is to make you feel like you're going up on a Tuesday, look for the dude who looks kind of like Gerard Butler in the eyes with a name tag that says MARK.

Read moreThey've gone downhill fast in customer service as well as accuracy. The last two times I went I dealt with problematic people.
One tried to charge me almost a dollar extra for an already $4.00 triple espresso because I asked for 1/2 short cup of milk. She said it was standard practice since she began working there 2 years ago (I've been there several times a week since March and had never seen this airheaded child). I have been ordering this same drink from several Starbucks several times a week for years, and 1/2 short cup of any milk is free, period. I drove away after she refused to exercise common sense.
Today I had the pleasure of dealing with two daft people. One tried to get me to accept that they put the milk in my drink even though I asked for it on the side. They remade it and only filled my tea up halfway with water. The girl I had been dealing with disappeared and a douchey looking dude appeared to hand me my drink. I told him to fill up the cup with more water, which he said he would, and handed it back to me exactly the same.
This is what you get for raising minimum wage for people who don't deserve it: uneducated losers who can't even do the bare minimum at one of the most basic jobs in the world. The new people working here these last few months are terrible at their jobs. I will take my money elsewhere next...
