We decided to something a little different today! First time trying The Kicking Crab, 10/10 we both recommend! #daughter #seafood #dinnerdate #grandprairie

The restaurant was fine, we just shouldn't have come—we like trying new places and mom wanted something different from just regular ol fried seafood platters but most certainly neither of us wanted a seafood boil. We don't eat those so why we chose to come here i don't know. Our bad Lol Mom truly wanted grilled fish with veggies, they didn't offer that. Only pan seared. When i glanced at the menu online before coming, i swear i saw fish and fries with white fish listed so i was hoping for like a beer battered cod fish kind of thing. We both just went ahead with the fish and fries ...it turned out to be fried CATFISH even though our waiter told us at the start of the visit, they didn't offer fried catfish, also saying it was just fried whitefish. Hmmm????? I got regular French fries but Mom got hers with sweet potato fries just FYI they come covered in melted butter. I've never seen anything like that before. She didn't like it at all. Too greasy. Anyway the fish ...you get 4 catfish chunks that i suppose would add up to 2 small filets in their original form. It was just average, lacking in the true fried catfish flavor were used to. It wasn't cornmeal breaded, it did seem more like a flour batter but the seasoning, I can't even explain what they put on it. It left me wanting salt to be honest. (Shrugs) it was just different i think because we went to a place that specializes in bags of seasoned seafood which the other 6 tables or so in there at the time were eating. Also we shared the garlic butter noodles. For any that are curious , they taste exactly like what they're called....actual chunks of garlic and lots of butter ...yes its greasy. The service was attentive and friendly, which helped elevate the overall experience some. We won't be back but you should come especially if you like seafood boils. :)

If you get nothing else (and you like garlic), get the garlic noodles! Simple and unassuming when set before you, the bite of the noodles is perfect, the taste, a flavor explosion. TIP: be sure to stir the garlic cloves at the bottom in, you won't regret it. We got the noodles and grilled shrimp, which delivered a light kick. While borderline overcooked, they were delicious. Our second appetizer was the fried shrimp and fry basket. This was the least impressive dish of the night. A nice seasoning on the fries along with a decent cook. However, most of the shrimp--while gorgeous to look at--were over cooked, therefore dry and chewy. Switching to mains, my husband went with the soft shell crab tacos. A well-executed fried crab sits on a bed of pico in a (cold) corn tortilla, and is topped with sauces. An awesome fusion dish! I got the $33.99 boil special: 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 pound snow crab, 1 corn, 1 red tater, and 2 slices of sausage. I'm a spice wuss, so opted for the basic garlic butter. It was all fantastic, especially the crab... which was fresh and cooked so well that I left NO meat behind in those bad boys, lol. Great food. Great, friendly service. A bit of a loud, but relaxed, atmosphere. We WILL be back... I have to try the clam chowder!

This will be long but very important!

I arrived and grabbed a menu and was greeted by Ethan he was very nice and polite and help me make the best decision based off what I order at Krab Kingz! The food prices and selection are ridiculous high and not worth it if you ask me! I do food reviews all the time and I also post them on TikTok where my page has over 1m followers and 2m likes! I asked for the butter to do shrimp in and Ethan told me it was extra 3.75 and that the sauce already came on it!

As I waited for my food I began to ask questions about the location, owner, years, franchise owner, and etc. The boy Dylan was very mean and very defensive when I asked questions and told me he couldn’t give me the name of the owner and didn’t want to talk about her in that way! I was like what you do know it’s public records right? He continued with such a nasty attitude and was very childish towards me laughing and etc! Another girl Erin and trin or something like that were looking around laughing like “what!” As I asked about the location. Mind you I’ve never heard about this place and drove over an hour for my daughter game and just stopped by cause I love seafood! They play around too much and everything is funny to them! Ethan did answer my questions and let me know that it’s corporate policy and the franchise owner is Asian! Most seafood places where I stay are locally owned so I thought this place was too.

After getting the food I was pissed there’s no sauce especially butter like he told me! This is the ocean in a bag! It’s very bland no season and it’s sitting in the grease water there’s no seasoning or butter at all! It’s so nasty. It’s like taking a bite of the shrimp fresh out of the water! My daughter had wings and fries! Now the fries they do give you a lot but the wings are nasty too! She was looking at me like why did we eat here!

Now what I discovered while opening my bag was a hair from another ethnicity! Huge red flag I didn’t even eat the food! After that one shrimp I told my daughter to close the bag I was done with it! She opened her fries first and they were good so I only ate those! I asked her how did her wings taste and she said it was horrible as I reached over to grab one there was another hair on it! Now the first one was black but this one was reddish looking with a slight kink on the end!

I’m a licensed stylist so the texture of the hair comes from a mixed person and Hispanic or Chinese hair type!

I do not recommend this place to noooooooo one ever! On the bottom of the menu THERES NO REFUNDS AFTER YOU HAVE PAID! So keep that in mind! When leaving ETHAN WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT told me to have a great day the rest of them laughed and played around!

I will be leaving a food review on my TikTok later on Today!

Shell shack is way better than this or krabkingz!

Do not spend your money here!

When I got home my kids wanted to see if I was lying! They took one and all 5 of them said ewww mama this is nasty my egg eater Lilly whom is five love boil eggs she can eat a dozen if you let her she bit into it one time and gave me a stank face and said she didn’t want it that alone should let yall know this shyt is horrible! I told them to trash that mf bag cause ain’t nothing kickin about this bag...
