Homefield: Iconic Sports Bar — Restaurant in Grandview Heights

Definitely a great concept with great staff and decent food but it feels like management is lacking. Multiple servers have apologized to me for service not being up to par because they simply do not have the systems in place to support their customers. If you want to go here on OSU game day you’re probably better off grabbing a six pack and watching the game from the street. Absolutely no organization. Some servers are telling me to put my name in for the waitlist and others are telling me it’s first come first served. Doesn’t seem like an ideal system for a restaurant/bar that is so close to the heart of Columbus. As I mentioned, all of the employees are fantastic but I feel for their pain. Crazy someone would spend all this money to open a nice looking spot then let it SUCK. Tried to go twice, both times were not given ANY service. Just came in, sat down for 20+ mins and watched people do nothing (the first time we didn't even see someone for 15 mins.) Final straw was when my girl tried to order for pickup. 70 dollar cart and they turned ordering off right after we placed and canceled the order TWO hours before closing. We had lunch on a Saturday. Homefield just opened this month. It has similar decor and the feel of the previous Round II Cafe. There are plenty of TV screens both indoor and outdoor playing various sports events. We ate outside and had chicken sandwiches and a chopped salad with chicken - both were very good.
