After receiving multiple testimonies of how good this place was for breakfast, I finally tried it out for myself when meeting a former coworker for brunch. There's a location close to me that has never looked super attractive just from the outward appearance, but we met at the Grapevine restaurant since it was midway between us. It was a Sunday so the wait was about 45 minutes long. They'll text you when it's your turn to be seated. The helpings are very generous so come with a big appetite!

There was so much to sift through on the menu and contemplate - SO many options!! I finally narrowed it down to something. I think I got the "Bronco" which is 1 pancake (flapjack), 2 eggs, 2 meats and a breakfast side. The pancakes are massive like everything else. Had my eggs scrambled, turkey bacon, turkey sausage and hash browns as my breakfast side. They were all good. Yummy hashbrowns! I may have eaten like 1/4 of my pancake. Personally, I think I still prefer Cracker Barrell pancakes but it's ok. This was fine. My friend got an egg white omelet with the fried potatoes. It was the "Farmland" and she substituted the chicken with ham. She only does gluten free so keep that in mind GF menu seekers. She really enjoyed her food as well, and that's coming from a picky eater!

Good service, very southern/country atmosphere and large helpings of an old fashioned breakfast make Old Town Cafe an attractive spot for a Texas meal. There so much to explore on that menu. I'd go back. Just know it gets busy on the weekends and be sure to...

This is a DFW must visit restaurants. Hands down. If you pass this up, you are a fool. Some of the best flavors in breakfast. I’ve been here a few times and I normally get the trail boss French toast. It’s some of, if not the best French toast you are gonna find. Today I went with the Six Shooter. It’s biscuits and gravy topped with sausage. Then a chicken fried chicken with two eggs on top. With a side of fried potatoes. I laughed as it came out. Cause it’s just so much food, it takes you by surprise. I don’t know what they are putting in the chicken breading, but it’s addictive as hell. This is top 3 maybe even the best chicken fried chicken I’ve had. I wasn’t expecting that from a breakfast spot but here we are. All the flavors were there. Eggs perfectly cooked, biscuits seem made in house and fresh. It was just too notch. Service was fast, food came out in about 7min. I was taken back. Wait staff is great. Polite and friendly. Please take some time out of your day and come get some breakfast or lunch here. You’re not going to regret it. One of the best spots in DFW. Shouldn’t be missed.
