Came in with a friend on a particularly stressful day. I had just had minor surgery and life had been throwing some speedbumps and curveballs my way, but my time spent here melted it all away. The owner was extremely nice and helpful, and made sure my first cup would be something I enjoyed perfectly. You can taste in the tea that this is the only job she's ever wanted; She mixes all of the various flavors in a clearly visible room to prove it! A clear sign of her passion for this job is that she has fun spending time looking for new tasteful combinations of flavors, something you wouldn't get in a store only designed to sell bad pre-made tea from bags... in fact, from what I could see in my first visit, there are no teabags here! She mixes and brews all of it by hand, open leaf. Her father was helping out and even sat and played a board game with us while we relaxed and enjoyed trying various new teas. I felt right at home and very welcomed. I especially liked that she has a reward system, giving people a point for every new type of tea they try. At 25 points you get to try some hidden teas, and at 100 she will help you create your own tea, which you get to name! I think thats such a good idea, and I definitely want to get 100 points to try my hand at this. I live in Cody Wyoming, but I honestly believe this tea shop to be worth visiting on a regular basis. Expect to see me around monthly! I've only visited once so far, but it was as calming and energizing as a mini-vacation. I honestly cannot recommend passing this store without...
Read moreI can only share the experience I had about the building. I'm a tea fanatic as I don't drink coffee. I went online and looked at their website. It had a lot of different named teas that sounded exciting. I buy teas from all over the country when I have a favorite flavor I love. We were in town so we headed there. They only had one small cabinet of loose teas (maybe 6 kinds) that were already packaged. I didn't see all the selections they had on their website or the other neat things like gaming stuff. I like to go into a tea shop where you can peruse all the teas, smell them, etc. I'm allergic to many natural ingredients/fragrances so I always either sample or smell the teas before I buy. I thought maybe we were just in the tea shop and they may have been another location. The counter person said all the loose teas were around the corner in the shelf behind a counter. There were many small jars but there were about 5 people at the counter and they were having a gaming discussion. I looked at the jars, but I didn't want to interrupt them and no one seemed interested in helping...
Read moreThe tea was absolutely amazing. The tea shop itself is well taken care of and loved by not only those who visit, but by those who help run the place, thus giving an unforgettable atmosphere of a sanctuary to the shop in every sense. Walking in through those doors for the first time will be something that will stick with me for a very long time, if not forever. The intoxicating smell of tea and the wonderful sound of the laughter from the regulars playing games. It was definitely a place that I'm going to be returning to in the future. If theres any advice or knowledge I can impart with, it is to try the tea "Don't Panic" (It looks like a stamina potion and tastes like a warm blueberry muffin on a crisp fall morning.), to not be scared to relax a moment and converse with the lovely Gwen, and to make a few good...
