My wife and i live in Frisco and we come to visit her parents one weekend a month. We decided to come in on a Saturday night because my father in law wanted it. We walked in and got seated right away and the waitress took our drink orders and we got chips and salsa.
When we were ordering our food, we gave specifics on what we wanted and what we didn’t want on our food. My father in law got the boss burger and he wanted no fries and no barbecue sauce on his burger. I got the old timer with black bean burger and instead of the buns, i wanted the lettuce as a substitute and added avocado with it so basically having two big lettuce leaf as the buns. My sister in law got the California turkey club sandwich and everyone else got what they wanted and my sister in laws fiancée asked for extra ranch with his chipotle chicken tender.
When we got our food, my father in law got his food and had barbecue sauce on his burger and fries. He wiped off the bbq sauce off his meat with a napkin. I got my meal and it looked depressing. It was literally avocado on top with the over cooked black bean burger that was hard as rocks, tomato, onion, shredded lettuce and pickles and my sister in law got her sandwich and it didn’t have the right spread on it. The California turkey club was made with mayo and not cilantro pesto mayo. My sister in laws fiancée didn’t get his extra ranch until later when we were eating so it took some time. She ended up letting our waitress know the order was wrong and they made her a new sandwich and it was still wrong. So she ate some of it and didn’t eat the rest of it. It was still made with just mayo as the spread. She ended up eating her moms quesadilla. Our waitress did really well, the kitchen staff just wasn’t paying attention to the details of our order on what she wrote down. Don’t rush into things, take your time if needed. We’d rather have our order take a bit longer to have it right the first time rather than our waitress keep having to go back and forth for us.
This place is a hit or miss. We have been before and it was great. This time it was a miss by...
Read moreThere's nothing I hate more than bad service.. which is exactly what I experienced at this Chili's. Some people in the service industry don't understand their jobs depends on giving good service and it disgusts me this waiter still got a bigger tip than she deserved because we are decent people. I've never been a huge fan of Chili's, but some of my family likes it and the food has definitely gotten better (As long as it doesn't come out lukewarm as ours did this time). I visited another location last week and had a really good experience. But here, we had to ask multiple times for things, drinks were not refilled and service was slow. We left waiting for things we ordered and never received and we were so over the experience by the time our food came that we took it to go. It was either they put it in the microwave in the back to make things right or we do the same at home.. Either way it gets nuked instead of actually cooked fresh which defeats the purpose of a restaurant. I'm sure I will be forced to endure this Chili's in the future, but I will be sure to remind my family of our horrible past experiences in an effort to choose a better restaurant. I will never return to this Chili's of my own choosing, only when family chooses it and I have no choice but to go or not spend time with family. Do yourself a favor and visit El Fenix.. or Applebee's if you want more than just Mexican food. I see that this Chili's tends to give canned responses to reviews, but the service does not seem to have improved with all the feedback they've received and someone needs to tell them that actions speak louder than words. If you visit and have a bad experience, you can't blame me.....
Read moreThey were very busy when we arrived. It was around 2:30. So the lunch crowd was still there. I need to be sat at a table. so we waited 45 minutes to get one. That was our choice. They were polite. The rest rooms were clean. There was a birthday over in the bar section. We sat at a little table with a booth on one side. The whole place sang Happy Birthday. It was fun. It's like everyone's part of the community. The drinks were good. Yes they serve alcohol drinks.. I had a frozen regular Margarita. My friend had a premium mango Margarita. Both were very good. Our waitress was on top of everything even though she had a heavy load of customers. She made sure that our waters and tea's and pop's were all filled up. They have a wonderful appetizer made with white cheese spinach and had a scoop of guacamole in it and a little pico DE gallo. Very delicious. I enjoyed the fried pickles w/ their ranch dressing. My friend ordered fajatas and the child with us had a huge hamburger with Swiss cheese, bacon and all the fixings plus French fries. I ordered a chicken fried steak regular mashed potatoes and substituted grilled tomatoes, asparagus and garlic. The ends needed cut a little higher on the asparagus. The food took awhile to be delivered to the table. But that just meant it was fresh off the grill. Other than that it was a very...
