Food is fantastic. I had enchiladas with queso and chili sauce on them. Notice in the picture included with this great review how the 3 enchiladas plate with refried beans and Spanish style rice has BIG AND GENEROUS portions. I placed a dollar bill next to the plate to show you the size. Since this is in Greenville, Texas, many restaurants have lower prices on their menu items than restaurants in more expensive cities like Plano, Allen, Rockwall, Rowlett, and Addison. I think that much food is a very good amount for around 11 dollars. Beverage and dessert cost extra, just so you know. The chips and salsa that came before the meal were great; the chips were hot, thin, crispy, and fresh. The salsa dip was mild, and not hot, which many people like, including myself. I have a low tolerance for hot flavor foods because they can upset my stomach, so it worked perfectly for me. Many other Mexican food restaurants salsa that is served with their complimentary (most) tortilla corn chips is TOO HOT FOR ME. This, to me, is being inconsiderate of those who don't like highly hot or extremely spicy foods. Offering MILD salsa by default is a great way to go. For dessert I had a chimichanga with NEW YORK CHEESECAKE filling, on top of a bed of powder sugar glaze that seems to have a light amount of lemon flavor. This is a tortilla having cheesecake filling, rolled up, and deep fried, garnished with whipping cream (see photo). It was delicious!! Check out the dining room photo too. Should you find yourself in the Greenville, Texas area, and like Mexican food, try this place. Hope you like your experience there.

We love this place, always a good meal with friendly service at a good price. I have to edit this, and first say we eat here at least twice a month or more. Tonight was the first time I have to say the food was really disappointing. I decided to try your cheeseburger for a change. And I fully get that you are a Mexican restaurant, but it was just so bad. I asked for it as rare as possible. When it came out, it was a pre-made beef burger, not fresh made. It was so over done it was almost burned and had black char marks on it. The cheese was like a slice of American plopped on there and nasty. I tried to eat it but it had a really off taste to it. Like freezer burn or just old nasty grill. The fries were under cooked and soggy. I ate about 1/4 of the burger and a couple fries and brought the rest home to the dog. Normally your food is great, but this was just so bad. I get that you put other things on your menu as an option but if this is what the burger Normally is, I'd leave it off.

Every Wednesday, for about a year now I pick up an order for 2 beef enchilada dinners, 1 with queso & 1 with sour cream. Simple order but they can't seem to get it right! Last week (and several times before) I got 1 sour cream with CHICKEN dinner & 1 beef with queso dinner. So this week I told the person on the phone taking the order to PLEASE make sure that they where both beef. She said she would make a note on order but she didn't know what they were doing back there! Lol So I pick up my order, drive to Cash, and set down to eat and both orders where CHEESE ENCHILADAS! My goodness, you should be able to trust in a restaurant to get such a simple order correct especially after asking order taker to PLEASE see that they get it right this week. You can't very well open and cut into dinners at curb side pick up to see if your order is right nor should you have to! I guess we will go back to El Fenix on Wednesdays, sad but at least they get my order right.

I was going to give them a 3 but I thought abit it. There is the great service. Everytime I am welcomed back like they remember me. Which they probably do. Our waitress was tremendous. She was on top of everything. They only had margaritas if you are interested in alchohol. I ordered a tamale dinner to go. I just ate it 2 days later. That's what I'm ordering from now on. It was very good. My friend ordered a tremendous salad. Black beans. No meat they grill some of the veggies and used cotillo cheese ( not sure of spelling). I do believe I've seen it on vegan recipes. So. I feel there are vegetarian and vegan options. If not pls forgive me. I liked the cheese enchiladas with queso on top. Although I find their queso bland. It was lumpy this trip. But not always. I like the rice and beans. The salsa was to hot for me. I saw others down it like it was water. There is a spice they use in their hamburger that we both didn't like. It was strong in the chili and enchiladas. Thankful I ordered the chili in the side. I ordered queso on the 2 beef and sour cream on the cheese. Will I go back? Probably. But it is not my favorite place. They do have many great things about them. So I won't disregard them. Oh also other than people throwing their paper towels around the trash can. The...

The moment I see a Tamollys, the nostalgia hits, and my taste buds start their happy dance. And oh, that salsa! It's not just salsa; it's a flavor explosion that instantly transports me back to the first time I ever tried it.

The fajitas are genuinely one of a kind, a culinary masterpiece that combines the perfect blend of flavors and textures. Each bite is a reminder of why I fell in love with Tex-Mex in the first place. And let's talk about the chicken quesadillas – they're a league of their own, unmatched in their deliciousness. It's a dish that stands out, making every visit a memorable experience.

Even when we opt for takeout, the service is nothing short of incredible. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every detail is taken care of. They make the entire process seamless and enjoyable, even when enjoying Tamollys in the comfort of our own home.

And then there's the yellow queso – it's not just awesome; it's downright addictive.

In a world where authenticity is a rare find, Greenville, TX, has become my go-to for a genuine Tamollys experience. It's not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of flavors, memories, and exceptional service. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on a true Tex-Mex gem. Highly...
