Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Greenwood

So we decided that it was time to try this place as I always enjoy new eating establishments. We arrived around 7:45p on a Tuesday. The lobby was pretty empty with 1 person ordering at the counter. We waited like maybe 2-3 minutes before placing our order. Not bad if you ask me.

The two people at the counter were very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions with detail and an upbeat attitude. While we waited we grabbed our drinks and found a table. I was sad to see that their Coke Freestyle machine was not able to connect to the app to get all my mixes. They mostly have booths but there are some tables in the middle of the place.

While we waited for our food to come out I noticed how clean the place was. The drink station was surprisingly clean. The floor was not sticky and the counter was clean and clear of clutter and junk. I liked the way that they called out orders when they were finally ready. Instead of just yelling out some number and hoping that you understand them; they use a PA system.

Our food came out and I dived in on the fries first. They were crinkle fries and made me smile. I went with the chicken club. The toast they used seems to be more along the lines of Texas toast and it was a welcomed surprise. The chicken had flavor. Not a ton of flavor but a good mix of flavor. Not like KFC that dumps so much seasoning on them to hide the fact that it isn't real chicken. Instead of the sandwich being a chicken breast it is their chicken tenders. It was interesting and yet another welcomed surprise.

Overall I felt that the amount of food was right for the price and the flavor was a good mix. I don't want just bland chicken but I don't want it over seasoned either. The staff seems very friendly and one girl even stopped by our table and asked if we wanted a mint. The dining room was clean and the design is different from everything else out there. Is it something so special that it will be my go-to chicken place? Probably not...but it is different enough that when I am craving chicken and don't want to drive far from home...Zaxbys may just be the...

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING HERE!!! So we have not been here in about 6 months, due to the last visit being a horrible experience due to the attitude and mistakes of the staff. Well, it hasn't gotten ANY better. Honestly, it's gotten worse!! I asked the girl on drive thru what was on a sandwich, and informed her that I did not want ranch on the sandwich. She repeated it back, confirming she got the request. Got home, sandwich was completely covered in ranch. So I call. Get attitude about needing a receipt, which the same girl didnt provide me. Mind you, this call was 10 min after leaving the window. Went back up to the restaurant, and pulled up to the window. The same girl asked me for a receipt, I said you didnt give me one, and as I proceeded to explain what else was wrong with our order, she closed the window in my face. Then the "manager" opened the window and asked what the problem was. After explaining, I listened as the "manager" who claimed her name was Stephanie, but not sure thats even her name, and her other 2 employees proceeded to laugh and joke about me. She handed me the new sandwich and dismissed me with a window close. I pulled back around because again I was not given a receipt, so I asked the drive thru girl if I could please have my recepit, to which I received another window close as an answer. "Stephanie" opened the window and said "Yeah im unable to find your order, so I dont have a recepit" i said ok and asked one more time for confirmation of her name, and her response was "Yaaa" as she SLAMMED the window shut and walked away. Keep in mind, THEY got my paid for order wrong, yet from the moment I called them I was treated like I did something wrong. The sheer disrespect at the drive thru window still has me a little dumbfounded. This is NOT the first time this kind of service has been experienced at this location, but it WILL be the last time. Please, there are other places all around this location that know how to treat their customers, that know how to own a mistake and treat the customer right. Go here at...

Updated June 25, 2019. I normally visit this location 2/3 times a week (awesome salads). However, my visit yesterday, June 24 1230pm. Changed my rating/review. I normally come in in the evening times, but will not come during lunch time at this location.

They cannot manage a lunch crowd. I assume it was the manager who was addressing an issue from a customer. The manager was arguing with the customer and everyone watched and I watched and listened from my seat. Manager arms kept flying up. Not good!! Think the manager needs "anger management " as I watched him as he talked to other customers after his argument with the customer. Rude!!

There was another customer who returned her food. I notice when I come to this location, if they are busy, the food less appealing and they take short cuts to get your food out.

Also, the back staff kept running around like chickens. Running back/forth from the lobby to fill drinks and dispense to customers in the drive thru. Few of the employees slip on the floor....major work comp If they fell!!

It is so cold in this restaurant, recommend a jacket

Not sure why the TV'S are kept on sports. This is not a sports bar, pub or anything close. No one ever watches the televisions. It'll be nice if they can change the channel.
