Sweet Little Sheila's Pastry and Cake Shop — Restaurant in Grosse Pointe

I really wanted to support a local business for a custom birthday cake for my daughter but it was too difficult to actually get accurate information to even get to this business. I called and talked to someone 3 times over the phone who told me to arrive during business hours which is 11-3 according to the website and I even checked Facebook after showing up Friday at 2pm to a closed up store with a closed sign. The only sign on the door said closed - nothing else. I figured they decided to close early and would try the next day. I called before going to the store the next day at 11 and arrived at 11:30 to find the same closed up store with a closed sign. I called the 3rd time where I was told you actually have to go through the restaurant next door and Sheila would not be in at all on a Saturday to handle a custom cake request. After all this I’m going to use someone else but it would be helpful for others if you just put a sign on your door to go through the restaurant and tell the people answering your business phone line to tell people you have to go into...

Super quaint but small place to grab a coffee and fresh baked from scratch pastry...staff was very friendly and personable, shame I can only give 5 stars....
