Barbary Coast is exactly what Mystic needed—a Mediterranean gem with incredible flavors, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms by Mariah, who was happily crafting cocktails behind the bar. My server, Lindsay, was not only attentive but genuinely excited to make my visit great (bonus points for helping me capture some content before the snowstorm ❄️📸).
The kitchen? Absolute magic. Chef Julian and his team were serving up steaks and Mediterranean dishes that smelled so good, I regretted not coming in hungrier. But even just stopping in for an Espresso Martini, I was blown away—the freshly brewed espresso and smooth, balanced blend made it one of the best in town.
The vibe, the service, the drinks—everything about Barbary Coast was top-tier. Can’t wait to come back for a full meal! Highly recommend. 🙌🔥

Read moreWOW! I am over the moon to find a new dining option in Mystic other than traditional fanfare—a breath of fresh air! I stumbled onto the location as I was parking in the commuter lot in Mystic. Very glad I did! They are right across the street from Sift and the parking lot. We had the wrinkled potatoes with a beautiful creamy dipping sauce, smoked carrots with yogurt herb spread, and pomegranate (this one is a creative play on flavor!). We tried the Grilled Spanish Octopus and the main course was the Half Chicken that was delicately crispy on the outside with a beautiful taste of cumin and other beautifully blended spices on the inside, so juicy too! I had to thank the chefs Tabby and Julian for the awesome meal! The LaBelle cocktail was refreshing! And the Lebanese Cake and the Yogurt sorbet, you cannot just get one dessert! We will be...
Read moreWe heard that a new Mediterranean place had opened up in Mystic, CT. Surely, we had to give it try. Boy, oh boy! What an amazing place. Too bad I didn't have any more room to eat another bite. All the appetizers we tried were delicious. The wine selection while (very) small was a perfect pairing with the food coming from the kitchen. The place is tiny (about 7 tables in the dining room, 5 bar seats, & 4 rail seats over looking the street. I'm glad we got to try this place while it had just opened up. I'm sure, as spring & summer come around, and once word gets out, this place will have a long wait or will be impossible...
