From the moment we stepped into Cucina Al Pantheon in the heart of Mystic, we felt like we’d stumbled into a little hidden gem. The setting struck that perfect balance of cozy and elegant—warm lighting, soft conversation all around, and an atmosphere that made us want to settle in and linger. We started with the Fritto Misto appetizer, which was crisp, light, and so full of flavor that it disappeared from our plates almost too quickly. For our mains, we couldn’t resist trying both the Frutti di Mare and the Pantheon pizza. The seafood in the Frutti di Mare tasted fresh and bright, with pasta that soaked up every bit of that beautiful sauce. The pizza was just as memorable: thin, perfectly blistered crust with toppings that worked together so naturally it reminded me why simple food, done right, is unforgettable. And then came dessert. The Torta della Nonna felt like a hug on a plate—delicate, creamy, with that little touch of sweetness that leaves you smiling at the end of a meal. What really tied everything together, though, was how the whole evening felt. The staff treated us like we were guests in their own home, and the pace of the meal let us savor not just the food, but the company and the experience itself. Cucina Al Pantheon isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to enjoy, to remember, and to return to.

By chance, we visited this restaurant. It turned out to be a fantastic experience. We were a party of 4 and all agreed. We started with Fried Calamari cooked perfectly followed by a Caesar salad, a little on the salty side but sill very enjoyable. My friend and I both ordered the Bouillabaisse, absolutely incredible, and without asking supplied a spoon something i look for when eating this dish. The mussels were decent size not the minute ones most restaurants try to get away with, the squid melted in your mouth as did the scallops clams and shrimp. The sauce was a sophisticated combination of ingredients that enhances your state of pleasure. My friend's wife had a Pizza that was passed round for sampling. Being from NY you know how we get about pizza, very delicious. My wife had Eggplant parmesan one of my favorites, she was extremely satisfied with the dish. Let me note, she's very hard to please. Over all, this is a very good restaurant and should not be missed. The staff & owner are there to ensure you have the very best visit. Enjoy!

My family was in town and we decided to checkout this new restaurant because it had just recently opened. Having been to Italy many times over the years with extended family over there, I felt like I was right at home. Every dish tasted like my Italian grandmother was back there in the kitchen about to come out and give me a hug. The olive oil and the bread was so good I could’ve eaten just that alone, however the margarita pizza puts Frank Pepe’s to shame and the eggplant Parmesan was incredible. So so good you’ll just have to see for yourself

Cucina al Pantheon is truly a treasure in Mystic. From the moment you step inside, you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Italy — the warm atmosphere, elegant yet cozy décor, and the gracious welcome from the staff set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

The service is impeccable: attentive, genuine, and knowledgeable without ever feeling rushed. The staff takes time to explain the menu and suggest pairings, and you can feel their pride in every dish they bring to the table.

And the food… absolutely outstanding. Every bite showcases authentic Italian tradition elevated with finesse. The pasta is handmade and perfectly al dente, the sauces are layered with flavor, and the meats and seafood are cooked with precision. The freshness of the ingredients is undeniable — everything tastes vibrant, rich, and soulful. The wine list is thoughtfully curated to complement the menu, and the desserts are pure indulgence, the kind that makes you linger at the table just to enjoy one more bite.

What sets Cucina al Pantheon apart is not only the food but the experience. It’s not just a meal — it’s a celebration of Italian culture, hospitality, and passion. Mystic has many wonderful restaurants, but this one is in a league of its own. If you want a dining experience that feels special, authentic, and heartfelt, Cucina al Pantheon is the place to be.

We left already planning our next visit. Highly, highly...

By far one of the best Italian dining experiences we’ve had in New England! What a surprise it was to stumble upon this relatively new restaurant while in Mystic. I’m after living in Italy for nearly three years, it’s not easy to please us. This dining experience offered an incredible wine last, home made pasta, home made bread, imported EVOO and a miniature “pantheon” piazza dining experience under the star lit sky, red umbrellas and fancy table lighting! The entire experience from beginning to end made our girls night memorable and magical! We feasted!!!!! Wine from the Abruzzo region of Italy, an incredible risotto with a grilled salmon and asparagus, a custom prepared vegan pasta dish for our friend, a jaw dropping and delectable plate of pasta bolognese and real Italian espresso coffees made the right way. I wish our bellies had room for dessert but no problem, we will drive the hour from home to become regulars here! I hope they outdoor dining experience can remain in winter like many eateries in Italy do, for I imagine warm blankets and heated lamps to make dining on multiple courses possible outdoors all year long!!!! Do not think twice about trying this place! Our waiter, Ray and the entire staff were...
