I’m french and my wife and I being around for vacations, We wanted to try this typical « churrasqueira » restaurant. It was our first time there this friday September 20th around 8:15pm.
Well, I have to say that my opinion on this place is mitigated... The food was ok, I am really not complaining about quality which seemed really fair here, like you guys can see on my pictures. The buffet itself was nice and very diverse. but there are some stuff that definitely need to be done differently, especially regarding the service. Because the way things are organized here is just really FRUSTRATING !
First of all, when we arrived we were « greeted » by a tiny brunette hostess in a very cold manner, she just didn’t looked at us not even once, didn’t smile almost as if she was wondering why we were here, and that was disturbing her... I had to get close to her in order to obtain the first eye contact to finally learn that someone would come to have us seated inside soon. It felt very awkward because it set the mood badly right from the start. Anyway, I wouldn’t let her ruin our evening and I wanted to forget about the hostess since our intention was to enjoy our time there.
Once finally inside our waitress came smiling, positioned herself at the very opposite end of our table and started baffling unintelligible things like a robot. I had to interrupt her, to let her know that we just couldn’t hear her (it was crowded and people around were loud). Even being fluent in English, I had huge trouble understanding her explaining how things were working here with the buffet, the meat and everything...
Finally we got ourselves some salads at the buffet and started waiting for the meat (by putting the green side of the meat sign up on our table). I came here especially for the picanha wich is my favorite, but for some reasons the guy with the picanha was running everywhere with it except towards us...
Instead I had two guys coming to us over and over, maybe 5 times, asking us if we wanted chicken parmigiana or porc parmigiana. At first I thought it was a joke, that everything here was with parmigiana and that we would never ever have the meat we came for on our plates. So our waitress who clearly wanted to do good came for refills and I took advantage of that to request the desired meat.
When it came finally, the guy with the skewer gave me 2 paper thin slices and ran away 🤯... Again I really thought I was staged for a hidden camera joking show 🤨. I said to myself it was just bad luck, because after tasting a little bit of different kinds of meat we were full when they finally sent someone with picanha 😡!
The little surprise at the end which is almost punishable by law, is that they probably « deliberately forgot » to explain that the deserts were not included in the « buffet » and on top of that they pushed us to take a « digestif » liquor (which we thought was included also in the menu but of course it wasn’t), that added another 12$ to our tab. So we ended up with a 140$ check +20$tip =160$ for two to finally eat some meat we didn’t had the way we wanted.
Conclusion : we would have been much better off going to a good regular...
Read moreWent for lunch with a colleague and was VERY disappointed. I will start by saying the salad bar and most of the meats were very good. Some of the measures were overcooked to my liking, but many others were available at the right doneness. That's about where the good part of the visit ends. Our server, Samantha, seemed inundated with several other parties when we arrived. It took 10 minutes to receive drinks (non- alcoholic) and an additives 10 minutes to receive sweetener for our tea. Since the salad bar was self served we were able to start fairly quickly. Once salads were done. Played were never cleared. We began to dine on dirty plateware when the gauchos came by, as it server was nowhere to be found. I requested to speak with a manager at this point (from a different server), and didn't see one. Samantha stopped and asked if I'd like a clean plate, and I said I did as well as another tea. After 8 minutes the tea came, still no plate. I finally asked another team member to get a manager, again. This time the manager brought me a plate and listened as I explained our experience. He was very apologetic and said he'd make sure the remainder of our visit was great. Well that wasn't the case. He must have Mentone something to Samantha because when she returned they're was zero eye contact, and not a word uttered on her part. We continued to dine and again had to ask someone to find out server for refills, which again took 15 minutes to receive. When she passed by I asked for the check... again 12 minutes. Then I had to get up and ask the manager to process my payment because she was nowhere to be found. The manager explained that he had said something to my server regarding the complaint and she didn't want to wait on us anymore, but never got anyone to take over the table?? I asked for a card for the GM, who happened to be in the building. When I explained the situation and our experience to him, rather than make it right on the spot, he invited me back and told me to ask for him next time... sorry Frank, there won't be a next time. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. There are too many dining options in the area to have to deal with service this inferior. 2 other nationally branded Brazilian steakhouses are within 3 miles, visit...
Read moreIf there was a zero stars I would put it. We had a group of 20 for a birthday party at first it was going well and then our server saw the birthday person receiving gifts and made a very slick comment about “make sure to Tips because tips are not included on the bill” like was that called for obviously you were gonna get tipped but since you wanna make slick comments you talked you way out of a tip. Then she continues say that her tip better be $200 like girl please. The manager did his manager duties but it was faked. The food wasn’t all that either every steak that was brought to our table was overly burnt. After the confrontation with the server a guest brought bottles of alcohol as a gift and the server took it away which wasn’t a problem but when we were leaving and wanted our bottles back she basically said we couldn’t get our bottles back unless we tip her. TIPS ARE EARNED. Like we appreciate you for taking care of us but all the extra stuff was uncalled for the attitude was uncalled for like why did you even come to work? We didn’t even cut the cake we brought cause before we even could finish eating plates were being taken up and she brought out the cake basically telling to hurry up and get out. Lastly she added extra items to the bill extra drinks that no one ordered and wouldn’t take them off the manager did. We also felt a way because at any normal restaurant when you give someone a bill you walk away and then come back to collect the payment right. She said we couldn’t split the bill so everyone had to send it to one person Why did this lady stand and watched All the transaction occur it was very uncomfortable like you thought our group was gonna dine and dash? Don’t nobody got time to be going to jail over that disgusting burnt food. Avoid this place This was a first and last time experience. I was excited to go for the first time but the whole...
