Karma Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Hampton

It saddens me to give such a low review. Especially after seeing stormy blues review on the establishment. This past Friday Nov 3rd. My husband, myself and 10 other of his close family and friends had intensions of celebrating his birthday at karma lounge. All was in order as a week prior I contacted them via DM on instagram and made a reservation for 12 people. I even confirmed my reservation the day prior to be sure that all was in order.We were advised to all arrive 15 min prior to our 8pm reservation. Here it is the day of and the entire party arrives as told 15 min prior. Now anybody that has a large group knows it’s actually kinda hard to have your entire party on time !! But we did it !! We walk in and the host greets us and I say yes I have a reservation and she finishes my sentence and says for Precious ? And I respond yes. She looks over at tables that you clearly can tell was set for my party of 12 and to our surprise she had just sat a party of 6. She walks around trying to figure what they are going to do and she grabs menus and walks us around the dj booth to two couches and says, You guys can sit here until your table is ready. 🫤 Not only is this a surprise to me that there is only two couches that can only sit two people each and there was 12 people but also how is our table not actually reserved and we made a reservation?? My cousin is upset because I’m a little upset and embarrassed because well I set this up to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it’s off to a bad start. My cousin walks up to the host and asks her what the issue was and she told her that they needed to accommodate the walk in party they had and that she didn’t know who we spoke to on Instagram and that we will be sat once a table opens up. Maybe 10 min after that two tables open up and they quickly clear them off and say that we can sit here. The table was for only 10 people, were was the other 2 suppose to sit ?? After that we left in disappointment and scrambled to salvage the rest of the evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It makes me upset that their response to us as we were walking out was “well we tried to accommodate you” no you didn’t !! Which sucks. We came to spend money !! Eat, drink, smoke the hookah and have a blast. That’s 12 people that you lost business for. We may not be a lot but word of mouth is wild. As we came there off of word of mouth. Please do better or simply just say you do not take...

I went to game night on 1/15. My friend and I sat for over 10 minutes waiting to be greeted to place our order. This is being very generous with timing because it was way too long of a wait. There were right many waitresses in this establishment. Our waitress was checking on other tables before thinking about coming over to my table. There is no sense of urgency to help customers, but the staff was only interested in talking amongst themselves. After this extended wait, the waitress finally comes over to take our order for some shrimp. The wait for them was not worth the wait. Then after I finish eating, I wanted some crab legs because I was so hungry and I waited well over 20 minutes for some steam crab legs not once the waitress come and check after she brought the food to give an update on the crab legs. Let’s just say I did not get the crab legs and left very disappointed. I would not recommend the sixth establishment if you’re looking for good customer service and a welcoming...

Please look elsewhere when deciding on a lounge to come to! My cousin and I didn’t have a good experience. First in foremost, upon entering the building we were met with 6 security guards out front. I understand it is for safety reasons, however that’s very off putting especially for two women. The look of the lounge is very pretty, however the music was blaring, to the point I couldn’t talk to the waiter nor my cousin whom was in front of me. In looking at the pretty drink reviews it was very disappointing that we were served $12 drinks in a plastic cup. Very tacky and misleading. Lastly the food was simply okay. The Mac and cheese was delicious however when I asked for stuffed chicken, all that came back was a huge chicken breast with a lot of sauce and one piece of spinach placed in the middle.
