I think of all types of food it is Mexican food that is my favorite. Having grown up in southern California I have had my share of Mexican restaurant experiences. There was always that special place we as a family or with friends would end up at when we had a craving for Mexican food. Figaro's is one of those special places. I love the taste of their food. They have a certain flavor that has a tropical/fruit taste to it. Many dishes I believe have mango, guava, jicama added to them. Just enough to give it that bit of sweetness and spicy that I keep going back for. My favorite being the Dos Tacos plate with grilled salmon. Omg I'm drooling just talking about it. Comes with rice and choice of refried, whole or black beans. And topped off with a handful of tortilla chips. I'm not sure what the creamy sauce is on the salmon tacos but it is delicious. I like to get the sauce on the side so I can add it as I'm eating. The staff are always friendly and wait times for our meals are never too long. It is an order at their counter type of place and then they bring your food to your table. It's a tastefully decorated establishment. Tables are bussed immediately after guests leave. So it is a very clean and orderly place. They have an excellent salsa bar. With your choice of spicy temps. I love the green salsa! It has that fruity taste that is their signature. Beer, sodas and bottled water is available. If you're looking for a different type of Mexican food try...
Read moreI've literallu traveled the world on a hunt for the best Mexican food. We went to Figaro's right at opening for lunch and was immediately impressed with the friendly service and wide open, clean atmosphere. Hits from the 80's softly played overhead, which didn't necessarily match the style, but created a relaxing environment. And then the food. Holy freakin moly! The chili verde enchilada was among the top 5 Mexican dishes I've ever eaten. Maybe top 2 or 3. Absolutely incredible. I wanted to order another and just eat until I was sick- would have been worth it. The salsa bar had any style salsa you could want, and the tangy green was my favorite of all time. No joke, it was amazing. Also tried a fish taco, which did not disappoint. A decent beer selection in bottle and draft. No margaritas, which slightly disappointed my wife, but not enough to last more than a few seconds. Overall, Figaro's is our new favorite spot in the area. I plan on going back for another enchilada plate this...
Read moreThe cashier was really nice as well as the waiter. They allowed me to taste the chille Verde sauce, which tasted better than the red sauce. Trying to be open-minded I ordered two enchiladas one chicken with chile Verde the other with ranchero, beans and rice. Oh yes and a soda , totaling15.00+ dollars. I ended up taking one bite of each enchilada, not good at all!!! I ATE ALL THE BEANS AND MAJORITY OF THE RICE. I WENT TO ASK FOR A BOX AND IMFORMED THE TWO YOUNG LADIES THAT I COULD HAVE JUST ORDERED BEANS AND RICE, AND THE THE ENCHILADAS WERE NOT GOOD THEY JUST LOOKED AT KE GAVE KE A BOX ANDTHE WITRESS INFORMED ME OF HOW SHE ORDERS HER ENCHILADAS WITH CORN TORTILLAS. Went next door to Starbucks so I could get some homework done. I nodded off because I was tired from driving from Las Vegas,Nevada. Woke up and my stomach was hurting. Went inside to use the bathroom and order a passion tea lemonade. Boom!!! THE RUNS...... DONT...
