I came to this AT&T store one other time and had a wonderful experience. Someone helped me switch phones without a fee.
This time however, was not a fruitful one. I came in to switch my phone once again after it broke. A man of Hispanic heritage helped us out, having to call over his manager after explaining to us that for a SIM exchange, it was a charge of $5.36. Any time my grandfather changes phones for anyone in my family, they have NEVER charged him for a SIM. My grandfather was angry, you could hear it on the phone - he's been a long time reoccurring customer for many many years and never have we been told that we had to pay for it. The retail sales manager, Manuel Gomez (kinda looks like DJ Khaled if you ask me) was extremely rude, was not helpful in the slightest, and didn't have any problems with having attitude towards the end of our visit. We scheduled an appointment but decided to come in the next day with the stupid $5.36. A man named Steve (mind you he was white) helped us with ease. We didn't have to pay a dime and he put in my SIM just fine. The manager saw me and who I was with the day before, and didn't even give us a look, apologize, nothing! He actually went out on his lunch break with an employee who gave me a dirty look.
The thing I really didn't like was during our visit, this elderly black woman was seeking some help for her phone service, to no avail. Not one person helped her.
Overall, I felt disgusted at the fact that a phone store was ready to help "their kind" faster than anyone else. I wouldn't recommend this at&t store unless you HAVE to go there, or are OBVIOUSLY of Hispanic heritage, which we are, but apparently we don't fit...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 I would. My issue was not resolved, more so when addressing issue I was being ignored and either simply regurgitating a template that they have or changing the focus when the first didnt apply. The issue is a lapse in service where a lesser sister company flourishes. This is either a result of negligence or ego, and in this day and age the ability to not have signal in a long developed part of the town. RCA had done this, where they were the epidimy of electronics that my dad would bank on way back when. Now they are the lower end budget friendly risk you are willing to take. The problem is years before they showed their hand, they charged for their name. I have 7 lines and gave them multiple opportunities to close their service gap and spent hours into weeks to have them not offer a compromise on their half of doing something on their side to resolve the issue, even after politely offering suggestions to set the tone.
update since the review we decided, being told too bad sorry about you're luck. We are who we are and you're not going anywhere. We jumped to tmobile we're paying nearly 300 dollars less and I can barely notice a difference. At that for what I was worried in being a difference, I cant tell at all. The worst is in between the cities in the country I can lose connection for maybe a minute at worse depending where. With that, considering the intermittent loss of service because of hiccup or "servicing" was more intrusive than the situational...
