I first want to preface this. I understand it was a busy holiday night, and service would probably be worse. However, that doesn't excuse the horrors and terrors that my family underwent this traumatic night.
Let's start with the good. The host was absolutely pleasant, very kind. However, he didn't even speak English, and if nobody in my family knew Spanish, how would we even sit? Also, the manager was very kind, gentle, and considerate (the fellow in the Hawaiian shirt).
There isn't much good besides that.
Secondly, the ambience and cleanliness. The TVs were quite lower quality: blurry and some only in Spanish. Additionally, the bathroom was hideous: toilet paper everywhere, urine all on the ground, and broken soap dispensers.
Next, I want to talk about the professionalism. Because their expo station is out and visible to see, we saw their chef dancing and messing around when he could've been cooking something. Why this matters is because our food took nearly an hour. Next, our server Risa or Rhea (I don't remember her name) also was dancing too out in the open: not very professional.
However, this wasn't nearly as bad as the service. Firstly, the waters took nearly 20 minutes in which the server pretty much made us do everything ourselves, just leaving the waters on the edge and making us get them ourselves. I understand this isn't a Michelin Star restaurant, but c'mon. Next, whilst ordering, the server Risa, yells at us telling us that she wants us to order in a specific order. So, that was a pleasant start. Next, we ran out of water to drink and were thirsting. When we requested water, Risa took the water from the dirty table next to us and proceeded to pour that into our cups: dirty, warm water. After this, she brings us new water and ice which we requested. We place our cups closer to her so she can more easily pour the water. But, while we do this, she gives a nasty side eye (glance) towards one of us. But I completely understand it's been a long night..... Well, after this, a few of us receive our food after almost an hour. My pasta is lukewarm, my companion's chicken is burnt. And for some reason, none of our pastas have the bread? So, we ask for the bread in which we are told that they are out. Absolutely shocking mate. Risa never told us that. Next, one of my other companion's food didn't come after a while. So, when she received it, she kindly asked for some sauce and silverware (we were short silverware) in which they never came so we had to get up and get it ourselves. When we returned to the table after retrieving our goods, Risa comes back, sideyes us again, and proceeds to just leave. After seeing one of us on yelp rereading some reviews, she (Risa) decides to suck-up and ask what she did wrong. Everything pretty much. So, she offers us a free side of fries! Awesome! Later in our meal, we overhear Risa fussing out the kind host and pretty much yelling because we could easily hear her from maybe 15 feet away. I get it Risa, you're cut; however, the kind gentleman doesn't need a lecture, and nobody wants to hear you either.
I work in a restaurant too and completely understand that things get hectic when stuff is 86'ed, you're oversat, and you're not having the best night. Still, never have ever I seen one of my servers treat a table like this ever. Still, we left her a tip because we understand the state some servers are in. Yet, I still don't know if she even deserved a penny. Rather, she should've paid for our dinner the way she treated us. Hopefully your terrible service was worth it...
Read moreTheir food is definitely really good, but their service is outstanding in my experience. Granted, I just tried this place for the first time tonight. But the friendly service and above and beyond help I received made a lasting impression. I was picking up my chicken Parmesan (which by the way you get a side of fettuccine Alfredo with…which is awesome), and I had ordered using Ubereats “pick up” option. I guess Ubereats was being glitchy, and although my credit card was charged, the order never went through. So I went to Miller’s to see if by chance my order made it through. It had not unfortunately. But, while I was waiting indefinitely for Uber‘s chat support to help me, the extremely nice and helpful Miller’s host or manager (not sure which) actually took the time to listen to my issue and genuinely seemed to want to help me. Within three minutes, he had the kitchen preparing my order! I really wish I had gotten his name, he was maybe 25 to 30, dark hair, and had a beard. He just was so pleasant and accommodating, it was nice to be treated this way after working 12 hours, being exhausted and definitely not having the bandwidth to deal with Uber’s technical issues. I was actually surprised at the outcome, because I know how using a third-party can get under restaurant’s nerves. I just thought my experience was worth a review, because more people in the service industry should strive to make the customer feel like they matter, the way he did. Definitely an employee worthy of praise! My food was out in approx 7 min, if that, and he wished me and good night and apologized for the issue I had. No fuss, no inquiry or feeling of dismissal. Kudos to you, and thank you sincerely for your help! The chicken parm was also delicious, definitely fresh, and nice portions. I loved the fettuccine Alfredo addition, much better than tired old spaghetti with a glop of marinara. I have to say my favorite part of the meal though was the side of garlic bread. A simple side item, but regardless, that’s the stuff people half-**s the most. It was perfect, not too much garlic, seasoned and buttered perfectly, on a delicious thin sliced baguette. In sum, I’d absolutely go to Miller’s again, and I look forward to trying more...
Read moreI need to rewrite my review...I gave it 5 stars, but it's more like 1. This is all based on a manager named Chuck. All my experiences have been great up until one experience. Food and service are on point unless you run into an issue, small or big, and you request the manager Chuck. I had an issue with a meal...he was less than responsive, very combative, and completely refused to reimburse me for my meal. I later found out that he made my bartender (Joey) pay for my meal. Bartender?!? He didn't make it and as a regular I knew he didn't screw up my order. What manager does that?!?!
EDIT: My review is getting worse. Apparently internal issues are trying to push him (Joey) out. The best and friendliest bartender there and you are pushing him out? What place does this?!?!
I still like the place and continue to frequent this venue. Every time I am here, when (Chuck) is here, my food is over/under cooked, or have had other issues...not describing unless you ask. Again..common denominator. I brought this issue up to the GM Meggan. Hope she makes changes otherwise I walk and make it "with pictures " public. All that...every server, waitress, bartenders, and other managers are great.
Another Edit: Good bartenders are gone and the worst manager(chuck) is still here. Don't waste your time or money. Management does not care about to fix issues...just make money.
Latest edit: latest pic shows what you get on the special Prime night. As a regular, This is more than less than adequate. Get a drink and leave. Even the new management hasn't fixed any issues.
Edit Sept 23: This Miller's is now on point. Management has fixed the previous issues. Food is great. Bartenders have always been good. The atmosphere is always...
