Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Harrisonburg

TLDR: horrible place with horrible attitudes from workers that have never done an order correctly.

I have previously been to this KFT before and it was terrible service, but today I decided to give it another try thinking it was just a fluke. I was obviously wrong. My boyfriend and I went to order two mango green teas, one with bubbles and another with just the mango jelly that comes with the drink. When we finished our order (which i made sure was clear and correct as I order boba all the time and am used to it) the worker looked me straight in the face and said “so three drinks and (wrong size)?” I was not rude about it since I figured she just was having an off day or something. Next thing I know they made the drinks COMPLETELY wrong, they gave me bubbles when I didn’t want them and also gave us no ice at all. The mango green tea usually has a nice refreshing sweetness but it’s not overpowering. When I say there was so much syrup in it that I couldn’t even see my straw through the tea…SO sickeningly sweet, it was disgusting.

Other than that, the first time I came here I ordered the wintermelon green tea with bubbles 100% sweetness and they gave me un-iced tea with NO sugar or bubbles. It was like drinking tea out of a store-bought tea packet. Not worth the money,...

I don't usually order boba at this location, though I must've visited on a bad Sunday. I asked for a Large Strawberry Milk Tea with No Ice and No Boba/Toppings as well as a Medium Taro Milk Tea with No Ice and No Boba/Toppings. I waited about 20 minutes during an afternoon where there weren't many people ordering (Ordered at 3:31p, left around 3:50p). They even completed orders for customers after me.

When they called out the Taro Milk Tea, they had brought it out, but it included Ice and Boba. I mentioned to them that I order one with No Ice and No Boba, which they apologized and made another one. Although, since the labeling on the drink didn't specify what I truly wanted, in the end, they ended up giving me a Medium Taro Milk Tea, No Boba, but With Ice.

I mentioned to them that I ordered a Large Strawberry Milk Tea with No Ice and No Boba. They mentioned the Large cup for the Strawberry Milk Tea was misplaced, so the order was never called out. They apologized and made the drink.

In the end, both drinks were not the best drinks they could've made. If only I knew that in the beginning, cause then I would've gone elsewhere. If it was the best they could do, then it's a shame. Maybe they're limited in making custom drinks for those who prefer theirs with no ice and...

Nice location and atmosphere. This was my first time ever visiting a Kung Fu Tea. However, once I entered with my goal set on a coconut bubble tea, I was informed they were out of bubbles. Which, it was around 8 pm, so I understand product can run out

However, what rubbed me the wrong way was the music playing. There were a bunch of F bombs being played in the store. Not sure what the music was being played from, but it was coming from behind the counter.

I don't mind the music but I couldn't help but think this would prevent me from bringing my nieces or nephew.

Kung Fu Tea in Harrisonburg, VA gets a 2 star from me. Nice atmosphere and staff. But the lack of product and music being played from this location put a damper on...
