Have you even been the designated restaurant picker and you must find somewhere for 7 people to go, all with different preferences, some rather picky? I love finding new places to eat, but it’s also stressful trying to decide on the perfect spot, and if it’s a failure well…it’s all on you!
My family and I needed lunch before we headed to the airport, and when I found Copper & Bowl nearby, I crossed my fingers they’d like it, and we headed on our way.
The menu is short and sweet, with a mix of rice and noodle bowls, fried chicken or fried tofu, plus some sides and beverages, including lovely looking iced coffees with various creams. I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry, so opted for a side of kimchi, cup of beef and radish soup, and a lilikoi refresher. The young man taking my order offered to add a side of rice, which was so nice and made my meal a little more filling. Others in our group had Bibim-bop, the bulgolgi bowl, spicy pork, and spicy chicken bowls. It took maybe ten minutes for the food arrive, and it is all packaged in to-go containers, though they do have some seating outside if you choose to stay like we did. And let me tell you, it was all a hit (whew, relieved!). I tried nearly everything, but most especially loved the refresher (honestly wanted to get one of each fruit!), pickled radish, and bulgolgi. But then the soup! It was just a simple black peppery broth with chunks of beef and thin slices of daikon radish, plus a little sprinkle of green onions, but man, it hit the spot, even on a hot and humid day. That same nice young man even brought out complimentary cups of soup for my family to try and I think it was the surprise hit for everyone. The soup of the day varies, and if I lived in the area, I would definitely make a point of returning so I could try others.
We were absolutely pleased with the quick, friendly and kind service, and very reasonable prices, especially for food on the island. The location looks a smidge sketchy, but there was plenty of parking and it was convenient to get to, so don't judge the area too harshly on your arrival. Plus, the restaurant itself is adorable, with tropical plants, an IG ready neon sign, and warm wooden furniture. We even met a charming calico kitty who came by...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at clover and bowl !The atmosphere was lively and inviting, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The selection of meats was impressive—marinated beef, pork, and chicken, all cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to recommend dishes. I especially loved the variety of side dishes (banchan), which complemented the grilled meats perfectly. Overall, a fantastic spot for Korean BBQ, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic flavors and a fun dining experience. I will definitely be...
Read moreI’ve been waiting for a good Korean food spot for a long time. Clover and Bowl finally opened. Feels like a Korean snack bar in Hawaii. I love Clover and Mug coffee shop so I knew I will like this one too! My favorite is Bibimbap and my husband loves spicy pork. Love the taste and freshness of the food and all the banchan are made by these guys. They priced it reasonably too so this will be our go to for our Korean...
