Papa's Tapas — Restaurant in Hawaii

The staff are pleasant, but they dont seem happy. I'm really not impressed with the cleanliness of the tables. The were dirty and sticky. I don"t eat fish but there were several options on the menu. Then I asked if the fries are fried in the same oil they said yes....what? That happened at the last place we ate at and everything tasted fishy. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to any Vegetarians or non-fush eaters. It seems like they do not tell their customers this and the waitress looked at me strangely like I asked her a stupid question...not everyone eats fish, and it ruins the taste of other foods when you fry everything in that same oil....GROSS!!! I definatrly will not be going back. Also the cucumbers in my salad looked old a wilty...not so great. The cost was a little high but if the food was a little more fresh and the tables cleaner it maybe worth it...but not at this point. A big...

My wife made a reservation for last night a week ago and received a confirmation yesterday. However, when we got there the door was locked without any note as to why. We went to the original Papa Kona on first floor and were told that Tapas was closed for special event. I get it, things happen and were disappointed but understood. But they made no effort to contact us to let us know and like I said it was confirmed. We had to drive into town in the rain and find parking. I know this place is relatively new but this is not acceptable and really begs to question managements's ability to operate a restaurant. Sadly, we were really looking forward to this...

After a long day of scuba diving I was hunting for food. I kinda accidentally got beached up in Papa’s Tapas bar in Kona Hawaii. This proved to be a very miraculous choice. I ordered four tapas based on the bartenders recommendation and I must say… wow… they were all delicious 😋 and although the portions where rather big my plates emptied in no time. Soooo good…

Try also “The lighten up”🍹 or “Ginger Pama Inu” cocktail, they are both delicious. 😋
