Terrible customer service. Waited over 30 minutes for food. There was only one couple with a child in there eating. Had two others which only ordered a shake and ice cream. The one couple could not believe how long I was waiting. They even commented on the poor service. I had to walk up to the counter and saw my order but no one was there. I had to yell to get my order. When I received my order, the hamburger was cold. The bun felt like it just came out of the refrigerator. I complained to a couple of the employees, they offered to cook another but I no time to wait. In fact one said it would only take a minute to prepare it. I asked for the manager and was told the manager is on VACATION. What the hey, who was in charge? I was told they ZIP is in violation through the standards and regulation of serving food, especially when it’s cold and not even under a heat lamp. That place should be shut down if they continue to use that practice. The manager should be held responsible if they have no one working to answere to complaints. I was told by the employees they were short handed in help. What I saw was, 4 employees there. There was no vehicles in the drive through and the one couple eating inside besides myself. When I yelled for my food there was only the guy cleaning the grill. Where we’re the rest of the employees? They appeared after I got their attention. What a joke. I would have to say, McDonald serves hot burgers. THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED by the health department or Food and Drug on their practice of food handling. Beware if you go in to get...
Read moreThis place was exactly what I wanted it to be. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest my whole life and never heard about Zips until my recent trip to Eastern Washington/Idaho. The prices were solid and better than most local fast food chains in the Pacific Northwest. Keep in mind as I explain, I tend to buy a bunch of things at a new place I go to so I can get a feel for different stuff. I spent $50.00 and this what I got: 5 cheese burgers a bucket of fries, a kids meal (with a cheeseburger, drink and fries) a large order of onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and 2 butters scotch shakes. We enjoyed all of it. This to me was a great value also knowing that normally (not our first time)we would probably buy half of that for my family of 3. If I spent a similar amount at Burgerville (an over rated local chain in my area) I would have spent $50 and maybe gotten 3 small unsatisfying meals and I would still be hungry afterward. The cheeseburgers here are super basic. And I mean this as a compliment. They don't over complicate it or over season or over sauce it. The patties are also thicker then a typical cheeseburger. Lastly and most importantly I LOVED MY SHAKE. Butterscotch isn't a flavor I see often and both of us thought it was very good. I plan on trying a few more shakes before my trip ends. I had to wait a little long for my food and the staff seemed a little overwhelmed with drive through when I walked in, but that was to be expected given that it was dinner time...
Read moreWow. Where do I start?
Don't expect any vegetables to come on your burger, despite all the combo pictures showing lettuce, tomato, etc... I wouldn't mind so much except for the fact that there's, a) no sign indicating this, and, b) the cashier didn't offer to explain anything.
I went up and asked about the vegetable policy and was told "that's how it's always been". Okay, cool, guess that would have been nice to know up front. I asked for a slice of tomato and was charged 50 cents. It is what it is.
As for the burger.... absolutely the most dry and weirdly fishy tasting burger I've ever had. Couldn't finish it.
The fries were also a bit fishy, as if they were cooked in the same oil as fish sticks. Soggy. Tasteless.
Hilariously terrible food at WAY too high of a price point. A price point you'd think would warrant vegetables, but alas, they upcharge for lettuce and tomato on an already pricey sandwich.
It's too bad really, Zips looks like the type of place that might have been a hit burger joint back in the day. Sadly, it appears those days are long over. We'll never go back and will forever throw up a little in our mouth every time we hear...
