I came in excited to try the Dragonfruit Beet Pear Mix smoothie after seeing all the 5 star reviews. The smoothie itself was fresh and tasted pretty good, though it was pretty foamy.

Unfortunately, the in store experience was disappointing. The atmosphere felt off, and the cashier wasn’t welcoming at all. I stood waiting to order while he was doing other things, even though I was the only customer there.

What really bothered me was being almost charged $31 because of a “Custom Charge” he added. I saw the “Custom Charge” of $20+… I waited for him to come back from making the smoothie to ask, but when he rung me up, shouldn’t it be common sense that ordering 1 smoothie off the menu with no additions should not add up to $31??? When I asked about it, pointing out that I ordered a 12oz smoothie which should’ve been $7.95+tax, the energy I got back was weird. No apology or explanation… at least tell me it was a mistake?

Afterward, I checked the reviews again and realized I’m not the only person who got charged a “Custom Charge”. Whether it was a mistake or something else, it didn’t sit right with me. Definitely not...

The smoothie was great and I liked the fresh fruit in it. However I experienced racism from the cashier (I'm black) as he refused to believe I paid for my order. He wouldn't let me leave even though I did pay and tip him, and he made me pay a SECOND TIME in order to leave. I did end up tipping in the second charge because I was trying to be polite, but I wish I didn't. I came back soon with bank receipts showing I was charged twice, and instead of refunding me right away he tried to convince me to "just come back tomorrow." When I asked to just get my money back instead of refunding to my card he gave me cash and coins from the register. After I left I realize he didn't refund the first tip. So not only did he think I was stealing, he also KEPT MY MONEY by taking both tips. This experience was upsetting and even though the food was great I'm scared to come back for fear of being treated so...

The smoothie was really really good for what I had, but while I was drinking it I found what looks like a little aluminum tie in it. Luckily I didn’t swallow it, but I was afraid to finish the drink because I wasn’t sure what else may have been accidentally blended into it.
